“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(We wondered whether Seth would be able to come through with the Wyoming location also, in respect to the data given in the last session. [...] According to Seth they have well-developed abilities. [...]

(The other morning in a burst of inspiration Jane wrote out a full outline, including chapter breakdown, of the book she intends to write after she finishes the first book on the Seth Material, and the book on dreams that she now has well under way.

(Seth now begins to elaborate on the Wyoming data given in the last session, in connection with my telepathic perception. [...]

(Lately, since his return from Cape Cod, Bill has had a few twinges in his lung, a mild return of the trouble dealt with by Seth in some detail in the 56th session, May 25, 1964, page 110. In the 68th session, page 218, July 6, 1964, Seth stated that unless Bill took certain steps the lung trouble would return. [...]

[...] We had discussed with Bill the additional information Seth gave in the last session concerning the boat with a symbol on it, supposedly visible to Bill from this particular seaside room in Provincetown, but Bill is not able to recall the craft in question. Seth had also mentioned this boat in the 68th and 75th sessions.)

(This statement took me by surprise, until I remembered that in the 63rd session, June 17, 1964, page 159, Seth had given a date of Sept. [...]

[...] She said that Seth didn’t mention one part of the dream: that after it she became aware of herself saying “You’ll have to say goodbye to your cats.” [...] As we talked about it Seth returned.

[...] Seth. [...]

(Seth started to say good night, but I interposed a question about my front tooth. [...] Now I explained the situation to Seth and asked for a few words about it.)

[...] Good night, Seth, and thank you very much.” [...]

[...] Jane agreed; as session time drew near tonight she said she thought Seth would discuss the storm, and our weather in general. Seth has had something to say about the weather in these sessions: 56, 84, 123 and 175, without going into any great detail. [...]

(As early as the 6th session Seth told Jane and me that we were living the last of our physical lives, and that both of us had chosen to become entities. Because of this, Seth said, it is very necessary that we develop all of our abilities as much as possible in this life. [...]

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

(Seth began talking about dreams by the 15th session, then began to give material on their chemical excesses soon after. [...]

([Pete:] “Hi, Seth.”)

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

[...] Since the session was being recorded I didn’t ask Seth to slow down.)

(“Can we have a break, Seth?”)

(In my Introductory Notes for Volume 1 of “Unknown” Reality, I explained how Jane acknowledges the mail we get from our readers by sending them copies of letters from Seth and herself; to the latter she adds a few personal lines for each correspondent. [...] Seth dictated his letter in April 1975, just after finishing his part of the work for Volume 2 of “Unknown,” and I presented it while introducing Volume 1. Jane still handles most of the mail herself, and she continues to send people Seth’s letter because we still think he presented excellent ideas in it.

(In those notes I also referred to an earlier letter that Seth had dictated for readers in January 1973, and it can be found in Chapter 8 of Personal Reality. Jane and I suggested then, as we do now, that when possible the two Seth letters be read together, since they compliment each other so well.

(10:17 P.M. “Now that’s weird,” Jane said as soon as Seth withdrew, “It’s only a quarter after ten, but I feel that what we got is way beyond in proportion to the time involved. [...]

(11:40 P.M. I was surprised at Seth’s remark, since it seems to me that my energy has been “good” for as long as I can remember. And it developed that I did quote portions of Seth’s material on evolution and time in Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. [...]

[...] Although they aren’t book dictation, we’re presenting here some of Seth’s own comments about the dream, since they have a general interest and also fit in with his earlier dream material.

[...] This came about because of a note I’m writing for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality, and I may quote part of Seth’s material on the subject in that note.

[...] Seth’s presentations clearly illuminate the subject matter of both Jane’s dream and our questions about evolution. [...]

(It will be remembered that in the last, 63rd, session, pages 158-159, Seth stated that a narcotics scandal was to break in Elmira within 3 months. [...] Seth said that five people would be involved. It can be categorically stated that neither Jane nor I had any knowledge that such an investigation was underway involving Elmirans, before Seth mentioned it last week.

[...] As 9 PM approached I watched Jane to see if she would give any sign that she was aware of Seth, or that he wanted a session. She gave none; later Jane said she hadn’t the slightest inkling of Seth’s presence as session time passed. [...]

[...] She had no idea of Seth’s subject matter for the evening. [...]

[...] This wasn’t to be Seth speaking. For Jane’s own work, however, I note times, occasional pauses, and any other information in italics, just as I do for Seth’s dictation.

[...] For by then I knew that she had no intention of producing an English version: Some childlike and naive, yet deeply stubborn portion of her psyche, some “perverse area,” as Seth, her trance personality, jokingly characterized it long ago, had simply taken over and decided not to do any more on that subject. [...]

[...] I’ve certainly found her particular combination of attributes to be unique, and I don’t think she’d be able to express the Seth material as she does without them. [...]

Seth uses the term “value fulfillment,” as in the title of this book, to imply life’s greater values and characteristics—that is, we are alive not only to continue, to insure life’s existence, but to add to the very quality of life itself.

[...] At suppertime, Seth spoke to Jane rather harshly as she worked in the kitchen. [...] Jane shed a few tears when she came to the studio to tell me that she had heard from Seth late this afternoon. [...]

[...] I was remembering a lot of other such statements by Seth about vacations, etc., none of which accomplished anything that I could remember. I was remembering now what Seth had said earlier in the session about Jane’s attitude toward vacations, chores, etc., being a waste of time since these things took her away from her work.)

[...] This after we have finished with Seth’s book early in January. [...]

(I tried to lead Seth on, as I do periodically just for my own amusement. Seth-Jane did not answer my question, as usual; but the superior, you-should-know-better look Jane threw my way made me laugh aloud.)

[...] This, she believes, is the eighth inner sense, making possible transportation and levitation; Seth has briefly referred to these two being dependent upon another inner sense.

[...] Seth’s reference to wild spring weather probably came because while delivering the above material Jane paused often before the open living room window. [...]

[...] She didn’t feel Seth around and had no idea what he might talk about, or whether the session would be long or short. [...] I thought the session, on the behavior of nations, excellent, and that San Salvador could almost be a test example of what Seth had talked about.

[...] Jane was still very relaxed, even during the session her eyes had closed often as she spoke for Seth, or she had stared at me beneath very heavy lids.)

[...] The chapter deals with the negative effects and aspects of inoculations, and certainly reinforces Seth’s own material in Mass Events on the harmful effects of many inoculations. [...] Jane feels good that “independent sources” have verified Seth’s own material. [...]

(Jane surprised me at supper time by saying she felt Seth around and wanted to have a session. [...]

[...] Jane said she thought Magical Child contained ideas reminiscent of her own and Seth’s ideas, and was also remindful of a book idea she’s considering at the moment, on the magical self. [...]

(Seth mentions an April meeting and John said that he expects to go to Chicago for a meeting this spring.

(9:40—Jane was out of trance easily, but said that Seth was here strongly tonight, even though her voice and delivery were rather average. But Jane said that when Seth is really here she feels a “certain energy” about her that is intensified over ordinary sessions. [...]

[...] It was almost a nightmare—in fact Jane woke me out of it to prevent this seeming reaction on my part, I was fairly sure the dream concerned my father’s approaching death, but certain elements in it were similar enough to Seth’s suggestions about contacting Dr. Pietra, above, to make me tell Jane about it—on the off chance the dream had been more than it seemed.

[...] Several years ago Seth gave an excellent reading regarding my father, going into more detail on some of the data given here in summary fashion.)

[...] After that, with my right hand practically numb, I put my notebook aside and joined Patty and Seth in an impromptu discussion. Seth’s energy and vitality seemed to be inexhaustible — his pace even speeded up. [...]

[...] We met Patty in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in September, 1970, while we were on tour for Jane’s own book, The Seth Material.

[...] Seth comments briefly on alpha at the beginning of the session.

(Patty enthusiastically told us that Seth’s material on the various stages of consciousness, in the 569th and 570th sessions in Chapter Seventeen, closely agreed with her recent studies. [...]

[...] “I hope Seth will just do those chapters on religion and reincarnation, and get them over with,” she said. [...]

(Somewhat to my surprise Seth started Chapter Twenty-one this evening, but I soon realized that he wasn’t leaving our questions behind. [...]

[...] Following break, Seth-Jane delivered five excellent pages of data about my painting and related subjects. [...]

(Seth made this session very brief, since Jane and I were quite tired by the time it began. [...]

[...] Jane had no forewarning that Seth would come in so strong to begin the session, she said. [...]

[...] Occasionally he’ll mention them in connection with another subject; as an example, see the two paragraphs about “saucers” and the pulsating nature of atoms and molecules in the ESP class session for January 12, 1971, in the Appendix of Seth Speaks.

(That material actually flows from a session held seven years earlier: the 16th for January 15, 1964, which still contains Seth-Jane’s longest delivery on such craft. [...] [In the early sessions, incidentally, Seth used the word “plane” often, but not long afterward began the general changeover to “reality,” which for the most part we like better. [...]

1. A note added a decade later: So far, Seth has failed to volunteer information on the inhabitants of any of the “saucer” planes — but neither have we asked him to do so.
