“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(On the above evening I again experienced a feeling of enlargement in parts of my body. This was very similar to my experience of July 9,1965, at Oswego State University College in Oswego, NY. See page 131. Both experiences seem to be related to sound, and both took place in the small hours of the night after I had been sleeping for some time, then awakened. In each case Jane slept on beside me.

(At Oswego, I was awakened by a party of college students in a nearby residence hall. This time I was roused by the tenants downstairs, who came home at about 2:30 AM, with company, and sat in the backyard talking. It was a very hot and humid night.

[...] Anyhow I got the following thoughts at once: that when we were in Oswego so many years ago visiting Instream at the university I discovered that.... [...]

[...] This leads Ruburt to think of Oswego and your stay there. [...] The object has no connection with Oswego, NY. Jane hasused federation, and words like before re large buildings such as post offices, etc., so it seems that here federation refers to the college at Oswego, where Dr. Instream teaches.

(On July 20, Jane and I received a letter from Dr. Instream, in which he mentioned the possibility of a session with another doctor at Oswego State University College; the other doctor also wanted to consider the study, within limits Seth may feel advisable.

[...] Simply that the whole hassle Jane and I are involved in first showed itself—clearly—when we met with Instream in Oswego, and encountered the disbelieving young nameless psychologist. I found myself reviving Jane’s hesitation on the jungle gym at the park on the lake at Rochester; we’d stopped there on our way home from Oswego, and brother Dick had taken us to the lake.

[...] During the session with Dr. Instream, the 169th, held in his office at Oswego, Jane demonstrated an ability to go into and out of the trance state very easily. [...]

[...] She thinks the ability to switch in and out of the trance state so easily made itself known during the session with Dr. Instream at Oswego; Jane feels however that she must have been preparing herself for this step forward without being aware of it.

[...] Jane and I leave Elmira this Friday, July 9, to attend the Hypnosis Symposium at New York’s Oswego State University College on July 9, 10 and 11.)

[...] Seth said there was a woman at the college in Oswego who would do the work. [...]

(Jane and I attended the Hypnosis Symposium at Oswego State University College at Oswego, NY, on Friday evening, July 9th, and on Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11, at the invitation of Dr. Instream, codirector. [...]

[...] 2. What about the young psychologist we met at Oswego during our visit to see Instream? [...]

(4:40.) Ruburt, at one period, even feared that the young psychologist at Oswego was correct — that his psychic abilities were mere attempts to prove himself superior to you.^* These are all beliefs that both of you have wrestled with over the years. [...]

[...] On Wednesday night she’d had a dream involving our Instream-Oswego experience, and a copy of that is attached under February 5. And she had a pair of positive healing dreams that afternoon during her customary nap. [...]

(Jane’s dream about Oswego reminded me of a little episode that I think of every so often, and that I’ve referred to in a note in one of the books, I think—probably Mass Events: When I’d asked her once years ago what she wanted to do more than anything else in life, she’d answered quickly, “Change the world.” [...]

[...] The behavior of Instream, the other psychologist at Oswego, the demand for credentials from Fell and others, the letters asking for help of various kinds—especially those from the unbalanced—all of these things and more added up in her eyes to an indictment, one might say, of one’s very nature. [...]

(Sometime during the night while sleeping in Johnson Hall, a residence hall at Oswego State University College, I was awakened by some noisy students in a nearby hall. [...]

[...] She manifested this same ability during the 169th session, held in Dr. Instream’s office in Oswego, NY, but I would say that her switching back and forth this evening was more rapid. [...]

[...] Later, we were in a Howard Johnson’s restaurant in Oswego talking with the good doctor when I abruptly felt Seth about. [...]

(On June 8, we received an answer from Dr. Instream, expressing interest, and inviting us to a symposium at State University College, Oswego, NY. [...]

[...] The meeting to be in Oswego. [...]

Now, from Puerto Rico to Oswego (site of a NY State University).

(Seth answered my question by saying it was a good idea for Jane and me to attend the hypnosis symposium at Oswego next month, and to meet Dr. Instream, the director. [...]
