(John Bradley was recently on a business trip to Chicago. The meeting of the five refers to a group of five executives of Searle Drug, John’s employer.
(Offhand the Ann connection meant nothing to John. [...] John could not say about the large tree, however.
([John:] “Does the April 16-26th date still have relevance?” [Seth gave John this date in Session 313. [...]
(Barbara Ingold and John Bradley witnessed the session. [...]
(John Bradley was a witness to the session. John brought with him confirmation of some of Seth’s predictions given in the 439th session, to Jane’s pleased surprise. The data involves personnel in John’s company, Searle, and is somewhat complicated. John is going to go over the session material, using his recorder, to sum up Seth’s predictions to date re Searle.
([John and I:] “Good evening, Seth.”)
(To John:) We will get to you before the evening is finished. [...]
([John:] “Thank you. [...]
(On Sunday, May 18, John Pitre called Jane from Franklin, Louisiana and asked that Seth hold a session for his wife Peg; she is in the hospital, in poor condition, with muscular dystrophy. John told Jane it “might be a matter of hours” etc., and wondered whether Seth could give some data on Peg’s psychic activities at the moment, whether she would be helped after physical demise, etc.
[...] John Bradley was a visitor.
[...] Jane said she was aware of wanting to contact John’s wife Peg during these travels, without the experience being “unpleasant” for either of them...
(Re John and Peg, see sessions 394, 416, 441, etc.)
(John Bradley was a witness to tonight’s session. [...] Interestingly, John began to ask us questions about the Indian teacher, Baba, who was discussed by Seth and Gene Bernard in the 303rd session. John has never mentioned Baba before, nor had he read the 303rd session.
[...] During break John told us he has no aunt. This puzzled Jane because she said she had such a positive impression of a woman in some such capacity, connected with John’s family. John’s mother died a few weeks ago in Philadelphia. [...]
[...] John said that while Seth was speaking the name Laura Bittner popped into his mind. He saw this woman, who is stocky and in her fifties or early sixties, at his mother’s funeral, for the first time in many years, and now remembered that L.B. had been a close friend of his mother’s when he [John] was a child.
([John and I:] “Good evening, Seth.”)
[...] Jane spoke to John Nelson this evening before the session; he called her from his place, after failing to reach her this afternoon. [...] Grace gave John sales figures for Seth Speaks which are much too low, so we really have little idea of how the book is selling, judging by those. Actually, Grace told Jane last week, and John this week, that the book is “a smashing success,” whatever that means, and is in its sixth printing. [...]
[...] The woman there (Pat Golbitz) picked up all of your own negative ideas—yours and Ruburt’s—about Fell and Prentice, and aimed them at John (Nelson). This confirmed John’s belief that he is not understood. [...]
(John, in turn, called Pat unethical because she called Jane about the details of all of this, and then offered to take Jane away from Prentice-Hall. Both John and Grace are upset also because Pocket Books thought about using the same photo of Jane on the cover of their book—The Coming of Seth—that Bantam had used on the cover of their issue of Seth Speaks.)
(A hassle began developing last Thursday, involving Pat Golbitz at Pocket Books, Grace Bechtold at Bantam, and Tam, John Nelson, and Jane at Prentice-Hall. [...]
(Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, was a cousin of Christ’s mother, Mary. John baptized Christ at the beginning of his ministry in A.D. 26 to 27, when he was about thirty. John was already active in his own ministry, and often called himself a “forerunner of one who would be nobler and stronger.” Shortly after he baptized Jesus, John was imprisoned by Herod Antipas in the fortress Machaerus, near the Dead Sea.
John the Baptist, Christ, and Paul were all connected in the dream state, and John was well aware of Christ’s existence before Christ was born.
(My questions concerned relationships between the three personalities of the Christ entity: John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and Paul. [...]
(John the Baptist was born between 8 and 4 B.C., and died in A.D. 26 to 27. [...]
(On June 5, 1968 John Pitre telephoned Jane from Franklin, LA, seeking answers to three questions: the reasons for John’s uneasiness concerning his wife Peg last week; the reasons for the loss of leg feeling John experiences in hot weather; and data on a pilot, Albert Blevins, who vanished on a flight in a small plane near the Gulf Coast about four years ago, presumably near Franklin.
[...] Seth gave data on Albert Blevins; perhaps John can check some of it. Seth promised the rest of the data John requested in the next session.
(At 8:15 PM John Bradley arrived to be a witness. John has witnessed several sessions; with him he brought the first carbon of Volume 1 of the Seth material, which he has been reading. [...] John now had for us questions on beginnings and endings, inner reality, the inner senses, etc. John is also an indefatigable worker at finding people who are willing to devote free time to typing up extra copies of the material, and he had news for us on this score also. Needless to say Jane and I have been lax in this field, and we are most grateful to John for his efforts.
(John told us that although he had kept his eyes and ears open for news, he knew of nothing happening to any such neighbor, although as explained through John’s map in the 63rd session, two such women neighbors with children live three doors from him. John had been on vacation for two weeks in September however, and said he may have missed out on something developing. [...]
[...] See page 58 for a brief resume of the material involving John Bradley’s neighborhood in Williamsport, PA. Again, John said the initial V meant nothing in particular to him, but when he returned home he planned to do what he could to ascertain just what did take place three doors from his own place, to a woman with at least two children, or who is connected somehow with children. [...]
[...] It will be recalled that John and Bill had been witnesses to various sessions, but not jointly before this. [...]
[...] John Bradley set to work drawing a map of his neighborhood in Williamsport. [...] Of these two families John said that the name of one of them, Snyder, immediately popped into his mind as Seth gave the pertinent material. A copy of John’s map will be found at the end of this session.
John’s map. [...] Note that two families with children live three doors from John; the Snyder family especially came to John’s mind as Seth gave the material on pages 159-160.
(John Bradley requested a copy of the material pertaining to him. [...] It seems possible that when John next attends a session he will be accompanied by his lawyer friend from Williamsport, PA.
[...] Then on impulse I said mentally: “What’s wrong with John Bradley’s neck?” [Visiting last night and witnessing the 63rd session, John had remarked about the feeling of a lump inside his throat or neck, yet could not find any lump.]
About your dream: (Pause.) You were telepathically picking up some of the thoughts of Joe Bumbalo as he suspiciously wondered about John, because John’s talents and abilities struck him as being too feminine. [...]
Joe’s dilemma reminded you of the attitudes of your own parents, and you sympathized with John. At the same time, you recognized that John’s job as a waiter also involved him with nourishment—that is, physically and symbolically—and the dream was simply restating the fact that the intuitive faculties, often considered solely female, actually involved those qualities of creativity and emotion that held family units together. [...]
[...] Last night I had a very interesting, and at the same time almost a bothersome dream: I dreamed that while I was with Margaret and Joe Bumbalo and their son John, I discovered I was a latent homosexual. [...]
(It will be remembered that Philip is the name given by Seth as John Bradley’s entity. John had not mentioned to us that he felt changes were imminent in his company, Searle Drug, but after the session he noted that such might well be the case. Searle was facing stiff competition in a market that now favored the buyer, John said, and new methods and perhaps new personnel were called for to meet the problem.
(Reading the 3rd session, of December 6/63, John noticed that Frank Watts, Jane and I had all lived together in Mesopotamia in the 4th century B.C. In that life I was a woman, Frank Watts was my sister, and Jane was a brother to us, and named Seth. [...] Now John wondered if the Seth mentioned in the 3rd session, page 18, was the same Seth who is now giving us the material.
[...] She did not realize this until later, she said, when she was delivering other material, and so did not mention it until after John had left. As it was, John said the letters R G had no significance for him at this time.)
(John Bradley took with him Volume I of the Seth Material, consisting of the first 15 sessions, first carbon; two friends of his who are professional typists had offered to try copying the material, and John thought that this amount of material, 147 pages, would be sufficient to test their interest and staying power. [...]
(Joe, John said, has been taken very ill — pains throughout his body, in the bones, but also in the heart area. [...] As I drove John to the hospital, he said the date of my dream checked with developments Margaret had described. [...] John took the car after leaving me at the hospital, and called at 6:45 to say “mission accomplished,” that all were home now. [...]
[...] At 11:55 a.m., as I was waiting for a call from our lawyer, John Bumbalo, Joe’s son, called. [...]
[...] On the way home, John said a later report showed that Joe does have cancer throughout his body.)
(It wasn’t clear, Jane said, extremely difficult to put into words, but she found while speaking the appropriate lines that she was a giant, looking at John and me in the room, although her eyes were closed. [...] She felt her “organs growing,” along with John and me and everything in the room. [...]
(John Bradley witnessed the session.
([John and I:] “Good evening, Seth.”)
There is also an added development with the John Pitre situation, of which I imagine you will be informed.
(Philip is John Bradley’s entity name. [...] Jane and I were certainly hoping Seth would go into John’s experience, whereby John heard from Seth, more deeply.)
(Once again, Philip is John Bradley’s entity name. In a general way, we believe contact between John and Seth took place between four and five weeks ago. We did not quiz John about this when he witnessed the 204th session, but will do so next time we see him.
(Jane feels the voice John heard within can have one of three explanations: It was Seth; it was a subconscious creation on John’s part; it was a telepathic communication, on a subconscious level, from Jane to John.)
(John Bradley witnessed the last session. In it Seth mentioned developments to come within John’s family, involving his mother particularly. [...] It involved a peculiar heavy sense of premonition of some kind, as of us personally, or our families, but might be related to John’s family. [...]
In our recent session with Philip, otherwise known as John Bradley, we also hit some specific points. [...]
[...] One in particular that involved again Philip, or John Bradley.
[...] John Bradley said the material was much harder to follow, when given verbally, than it was the last time he witnessed a session. [...] John also said he tried to communicate with Jane mentally while she was speaking, concerning his company, Searle Drug. But since Jane did not mention the subject John considered his efforts a failure, for whatever reason.
(John Bradley, of Williamsport, PA, was a witness to the session. [...] However John has visited us often since then, and is reading the sessions regularly.
(It will be remembered that Philip is John’s entity name, and that Bill Macdonnel’s entity name is Mark.)
([John]: “Good evening, Seth.”)
