A small group surrounded us — the producer and assistant producer, Jack, Sonja and the camera men. I looked at Rob with a touch of dismay because while I’d reassured Jack that everything was quite normal, actually something was different this time: I felt as if I’d been in a plane going incredibly fast, only to be yanked suddenly to a halt. [...] For a moment it sent me reeling, and Jack caught my arm. [...]

During the interview Jack asked me if Seth would come through. [...] Instead, Jack began to play a taped Seth session. [...]

[...] By then, Sonja and Jack recovered from their surprise, and Jack asked Seth if he would speak about reincarnation.

Your experience concerning Jack Wall (on March 23, 1978) was quite legitimate, although it happened some time ago, in your terms (a point I’d wondered about). [...] In a way, Jack found it inconceivable that he should die. [...]

(Jack did not attend the reunion, though of course he is mentioned in Wendell’s letter of May 26. A strong connection is that Jack’s younger brother, Otto, did attend the reunion, and is also mentioned in the letter to some extent.

[...] Jane and I felt reasonably sure here that this referred to the boss of the studio at which both Wendell and I worked in 1941-3. His name is Jack Binder, and he is in his 60’s now—perhaps twenty years older than the crew of artists he had working for him. [...]

(This is a good description of my main job in Jack Binder’s studio in 1941-3. I do not recall now whether I had ever described it to Jane in this manner, but may have.)

In class, Emma (Hariston) and Jack (Pierce) are counterparts. (To me:) You and Jack are counterparts, but you and Emma are not.

(Then Pete gave me some surprising news: Jack Joyce has gone out of business in Corning, and is working for a convalescent home down in southern Pennsylvania, I think Pete said. [...]

(Perhaps it was no coincidence that before supper tonight Jack Joyce visited to discuss how much we should pay quarterly on our estimated NY State tax for 1981 — another success story that must be paid for? [...]
