Some of this has to do with current mass beliefs, based on the idea of the mechanics of the body being more important than the thoughts behind the body’s working. [...]

He sees more than you do, or more than his mother does, because he does not yet realize that you only accept certain patterns and reject others. [...] In a large sense he begins to train himself to focus only upon what you would call physical reality, though he still partially perceives other fields that you do not accept.

(At supper time this evening I told Jane that tonight she was going to  start dictating a new book for Seth, the “energy personality essence” for whom she speaks while she’s in trance — and that she was going to do the notes also. [...]

[...] From this more plastic, looser experience, the child in dreams begins to choose more specific elements, and in so doing trains the senses themselves toward a more narrow sensitivity.

I have spoken in the past of depths that have nothing to do with space as you conceive space to be; and I will now add to this the idea of psychological solidities, that have nothing to do with space as you conceive it.

[...] They become physically apparent to some degree in the emotions, which do have definite form, certain mass, depth, and solidity in the realm of psychological perspective which you do not physically perceive.

[...] There are also however forms or structures that are what you may call psychological forms or structures, even within your own field, which you do not perceive with your outer senses, but which are nevertheless frameworks that underlie form as it appears in matter.

These psychological forms or structures have a reality and validity, composed of gestalts that exist in perspectives that you do not recognize.

(I should add that those reasons do not involve any particular unwillingness on Seth’s part to do this, nor is it that those data we want may have evaporated beyond his recall.)
