(Lately, since his return from Cape Cod, Bill has had a few twinges in his lung, a mild return of the trouble dealt with by Seth in some detail in the 56th session, May 25, 1964, page 110. In the 68th session, page 218, July 6, 1964, Seth stated that unless Bill took certain steps the lung trouble would return. And lately, Bill has been looking for a place to live that he could also use as a studio.
[...] We had discussed with Bill the additional information Seth gave in the last session concerning the boat with a symbol on it, supposedly visible to Bill from this particular seaside room in Provincetown, but Bill is not able to recall the craft in question. [...]
[...] Bill said he could not remember his dream. [...] It was, he said, perhaps a fifteen-foot cabin-type speedboat, and might have had something in it; on this point Bill was not sure. [...] Bill then suggested that he write to Larry O’Toole for confirmation, since as far as he knew O’Toole should still be in Provincetown. [...]
[...] However, Bill Macdonnel arrived to be a witness.
[...] Seth discussed several psychic experiences Bill had noted recently, saying they involved telepathy and precognition. Seth said that as in the case of John Bradley, Bill should become more and more aware of such experiences, now that he is more familiar with these sessions.

(After the Gallaghers had left Seth told me Bill Gallagher had “great bursts” of energy. Bill and Peggy, he said, were very good for us and the sessions, in that they contributed. [...] Seth told Bill that if he follows the material given on the construction of matter and suggestion, and applies it, he can be rid of his ulcer within a year. [...] Bill should read the material because the intellectual integrity behind it will appeal to him. [...]
[...] This led into a discussion about computers, and Bill Gallagher’s personal idea of studying up on them for future use in business. [...] He said Bill’s personal ideas were good ones; the inherent danger with them had to do with the type of salesman’s personality, the feeling of superiority and of having power over others, that might color the use of computers. He told Bill that it would require strict discipline on his part if he worked with computers in such a fashion.
(Seth told Bill he didn’t seem to have enough time in the day because he had the common habit of chopping time up into segments of minutes. A conception of time close to psychological time would give Bill enough time to do all he wants to do.

(After lunch I took down to billing a check I’d received yesterday from our insurance company. [...] Neither did the people in billing.
(For the envelope test I used a pair of name cards made by our friend Bill Macdonnel for his art studio, the Cameron Gallery. Bill gave us these cards perhaps a year or so ago, shortly after he opened his gallery. [...]
(The design on Bill Macdonnel’s handmade name cards can be “The shape of a star” as far as conventional symbols go. At least it can to me, as an artist; Bill is also an artist. [...]

(Student Bill Herriman is a professional pilot who flies a considerable distance to Elmira for class; his counterpart in class, Carl Jones, lives in Elmira each summer while giving instructions in sailplane flying, the third member of the counterpart trio, Bill Granger, is not a member of class, lives in Elmira, has always had a deep interest in aircraft, and is now learning to pilot sailplanes. Carl Jones knows Bill Herriman and Bill Granger well — but Bill Herriman and Bill Granger have never met; all three are obviously males; all bear a general physical resemblance; all fall within a certain rather broad age bracket. Not only that, but the man I saw was one Bill noticed on both mornings, specifically because he wore business clothes. The man was a native—another reason Bill noticed him. [...]
[...] He might use a letter, for example, that had come the day before, and which I had read, or a bill from several years back, or an item he picked up that I had never seen, or an envelope prepared by a friend—in which case the contents were unknown even to Rob. Pieces of paper Rob picked up in the streets, leaves, beer coasters, chunks of hair, photographs, sketches, bills—all were used at one time or another. [...]
[...] Bill is assistant advertising director of the Star Gazette, and he and Peg were soon leaving for a vacation in Puerto Rico. [...]
(Bill wanted to hear again the transcript of the 46th session which he witnessed; since I did not have it typed up yet I began to read it to him. [...] Bill stated that in his opinion these two fingers were noticeably “fatter” than the corresponding two on my left hand. I then cut narrow strips of paper and had Bill measure and mark the circumference of each finger, planning to check these measurements when the sensation had passed. [...]

(I picked the symbol above because Seth had dealt with a version of this in the 68th, 75th, 83rd and 84th sessions, in connection with Bill Macdonnel’s trip to Provincetown, MA, last summer. Seth insisted that Bill had seen a symbol similar to this on a rowboat at Provincetown, although Bill did not recall it. Other data Seth gave us about Bill’s trip was verified. [...] My idea was that using such a design as a test would summon up a little more emotional involvement, since Bill was included along with Seth, Jane and me.
