Ruburt dispensed with our sessions on a regular basis with a vengeance after Nebene showed himself, toward the end of the book (Seth Speaks) in the living room.

(With some amusement: Even if Jane is bothered by the summer heat on a particular night, Seth is never affected. [...]

[...] It’ll still be up to me to add my kind of detail to each of those works, but there’s no doubt that she’s enjoying the challenge of playing with the Seth books from the “other side” — my viewpoint — for a change. [...]

(Before I typed this material from my notes, Jane and I discussed whether we should supplement Seth’s rather generalized local data with specific names, dates, and events involving Elmira and Chemung County; this information would cover periods of at least several months before and after the flood of June 23, 1972. We decided it wasn’t necessary — Seth has already made his points sufficiently for this book.

(We had been speculating about spending our immediately-past lives in Boston, since Seth had hinted at this in the last session. We opened the session by sitting silently at the board, but Jane began to receive Seth even as the pointer spelled out his greeting. [...]

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

[...] But by now the rhythm of her pacing as she dictated Seth’s messages had picked up quite a bit. [...]

(“Well Seth, that was great but we’ve decided to call it a night.”

(Jane had no idea of what Seth was going to talk about before the session began. [...]

(Seth offered no help with the data but Jane and I made our own connections.

[...] In view of Seth’s answer to the first question, this is a reference to Story Book Land. [...]

(Seth’s dictation on his book tonight was preceded by four pages of personal material that we have deleted. [...]

In other portions of the Seth material these processes will be made very clear for those of you who desire to pursue the question further, or those who may be interested from a scientific point of view. [...]
