(After supper this evening I read over some of those 1973 private sessions that Seth referred to in last Monday night’s deleted session. [...]

(This afternoon Jane told me that she’d been picking up from Seth about the poor Italian villages that had been destroyed in the great earthquake of November 23. [...]

[...] She moved about in her chair often while speaking for Seth.)

(“Good night, Seth.” [...]

(I told Jane this afternoon that we should get more information from Seth about her eyes. [...]

[...] Seth.”)

[...] At times because of the thunder I could hardly hear Seth. [...]

(This afternoon Jane’s editor at Prentice-Hall, Tam Mossman, called her re the Seth book Jane is completing for P/H. Tam also had a couple of questions, which Seth begins to answer in this session.

In Personal Reality, too, Seth tells us: “Information does not exist by itself. [...]

[...] Seth however began to talk faster than I could follow, so for the balance of the session I recorded key words and phrases and filled in between as soon as the session ended, while memory was still fresh. Jane and I agree that the following material is an accurate sum of Seth’s remarks.)

(The reader will note that I did not ask Seth to comment on my writings concerning art, but that the subject came up during the monologue. [...]

[...] While we waited for Seth to come through she stared wonderingly about the room, her eyes much darker than usual. [...] Late in the session, Seth commented upon her state of expanded awareness.)

(Jane thought she was experiencing the results of her own work with bridge beliefs, since receiving the material in advance, so I asked her if Seth would say something about her personal reactions for this chapter. [...]

[...] Jane had been far out, she said, but she’d known Seth had been talking about her. [...]

(This voice was not the Seth voice by any means. Even at its strongest Seth’s voice is a dry and intellectual one. [...] I do not believe that the Father Trainor voice at its best exceeded Seth at his best, and vice versa.

(It will be noted that in the 12th session, January 2,1964, Seth, without being asked by us, stated that he “knows” Jane’s old friend, Father Trainor. [...]

(Of course Jane and I have for some time been aware of the possible differences in meaning between Seth and ourselves, over interpretation of the word “soon”. [...] In it Seth stated that Jane had already made a sale, yet she did not receive confirmation of the sale of her ESP book until April 19, 1965. [...]

(Jane has resumed smoking again, and we wondered whether Seth would comment on this during the session. [...]

[...] John has witnessed several sessions; with him he brought the first carbon of Volume 1 of the Seth material, which he has been reading. [...]

(It will be remembered that in the 63rd session, June 17, 1964, Seth stated that he could “also see a sort of trouble in September for a woman neighbor who lives three doors down the street from him” in Williamsport, PA, “the difficulty here somehow involving two children... [...]

[...] The “V” given by Seth has no particular meaning for him, he said.

(Jane called Leonard Yaudes this morning while I was painting [I thought she was talking to Peg G.], and said later that she was picking up from Seth a good deal of excellent material on the body consciousness, our social mores re illness, and my own recent panicky hassles after Leonard’s operation a couple of weeks ago. At noon she said she could either describe what she’d been getting from Seth, or try to have a session after lunch. [...]

(“Good afternoon, Seth.”

[...] She said that Seth had carried the material further than that she’d received from him this morning. [...]

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

[...] The apartment was quite cold tonight because of a strong wind that had blown all day, after a 14-inch snowfall yesterday; but Jane said that as Seth she was not cold, in fact comfortable for the first time today, etc.

[...] By “this territory” Seth meant Elmira, New York.

(“Good night, Seth.”

[...] Seth called for a break for Jane at 10:30 because she had been coughing rather steadily for some time. This was an interruption of the material on Chapter Six of Seth’s book, but as long as a break had occurred I suggested Seth say something about Jane’s cold. [...]

(“The same to you, Seth. [...]

[...] We wondered if Seth was using time distortion.

(“Sure, Seth.”)

[...] Jane said that during this delivery she was “far out”, although she was aware that she was voicing some new and startling material… She reports that as a delivery nears its end, Seth begins to recede slowly, and at the same time she slowly regains conscious awareness of her surroundings. [...]

(“When did you call me that, Seth?”)

(“Good afternoon, Seth.”)

[...] Seth had used many pauses. [...]

(Seth’s deleted material this evening is very brief, but it’s presented separately so that the notes that follow can be presented in our private material. [...]

[...] When Seth asked at its close if I had any questions, this rather humorous exchange took place:

[...] The situation wasn’t without its humorous aspects, however, for Seth himself seemed eager to go: As we sat for the session Jane said she was getting material from him on several topics. [...] Jane was also picking up on Seth’s dictation for tonight. [...]

[...] When at last Seth did come through her voice had a distinct nasal cast. I hadn’t expected anything, but her Seth voice was surprisingly good and strong in spite of everything.)

[...] I also remembered Seth telling us some time ago not to call Jane’s condition arthritis. [...]

(Seth devoted the first part of the session to a continuation of his introduction for Jane’s “Cézanne” book — and he has yet to complete that material. [...]

[...] During break she picked up that the Cézanne material from Seth would be in two parts — one of these being on world views, the other more on Cézanne-and-world-views. [...]

[...] Now Seth delivered some material for Jane, then closed out the session at 12:09 A.M.)

[...] I read her the short session for August 7, in which Seth had said that her physical improvements have already begun.

[...] I mentioned the joy Seth referred to, and Jane said she felt it, even as she cried while I helped her move her arms. [...]
