True questioning and true use of the critical faculties will always lead Ruburt, to intuitional truths, so there is no reason to fear them. Those who do not understand their abilities intellectually must one day be led to question them. The intuitions and the intellect are meant to challenge and develop each other, and intuitional knowledge and intellectual knowledge will ultimately lead to the same answers.

Before, he used his intuitional abilities but always intellectually mistrusted them to some degree. Now he will trust them consciously and intellectually, and this development had to occur for his fulfillment now. It was a prerequisite for other developments and work that will come.

You must know enough to speak nearly as an equal with your inner self in order to do this. The process had finally to become conscious in your terms, with the ego highly involved. The intuitive portions of the personality had to have the full cooperation of the intellectual and conscious self at this point in your development and I am speaking of you both here.

The natural development of your abilities in other words already exists. You must merely be ready, intuitively alive, prepared and assured, and these developments will appear to you. [...]

There were also some hints in it that you will use subconsciously, and from which new developments will grow. [...] In your sleep you will correlate recent developments so that better use will be made of them. [...] We more than made up for missed sessions by the recent developments. [...]

Some of my material is difficult to accept intuitively and intellectually at one time. You may intuitively grasp a point and intellectually not understand it, or the other way around. But Ruburt insists that he intellectually and intuitively understand each point, and agree with it, or it puts him in the position of publicizing ideas when he is not a hundred percent certain of their validity, and he considers this to some degree dishonest. You can, in other words, intuitively progress within an hour a year’s work, if you allow it. A relationship in this life can continue to develop along those terms, with some degree of success, but the issue is open. He is also intuitively sure that without the stimulus you will never develop your abilities fully. [...]

One intuitional discovery will open into two others. Dissatisfaction, creative dissatisfaction, triggers in you new intuitive developments, and this one will be fairly important. [...]

Now: Ruburt himself hit upon the “heroic impulses”—and what he meant was this: that ideally speaking the individual’s impulses were inner directional signals that, followed, would automatically lead to the greatest fulfillment and development.

[...] The acceptance, the intuitional developments, will always appear initially in the poetry. [...]

[...] It has caused him to hold back from fully developing his abilities; not only his psychic abilities. It has caused him to hold back in the development of his full writing talents, for these specialized creative abilities, the writing techniques, will come into their own now that the personality is more fully behind our work.

This would imply that despite the development of the inhabitants their world would end at a particular point, and this is not the case. [...]

I would have thought that any advice to Ruburt would have involved suggestions curtailing his robust and ever curious intuitional abilities, but he is holding them down with too heavy a hand. [...]

His own writing underwent its own kinds of transformation, however, and indeed it began those translations years ago, even before the sessions, so that for example even the science fiction could no longer contain or camouflage the larger intuitive framework that he was developing. [...]

Each personality is in a state of his own growth and development, and you cannot impose any standard demands upon such a process, however tempting it is to do so. [...]
