“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(Reading the 3rd session, of December 6/63, John noticed that Frank Watts, Jane and I had all lived together in Mesopotamia in the 4th century B.C. In that life I was a woman, Frank Watts was my sister, and Jane was a brother to us, and named Seth. During these first sessions it will be remembered that Jane and I received our information from Frank Watts. [...]

I certainly, most certainly, admire your interest and concern with Frank Watts. [...] Frank Watts is aware now of Miss Callahan’s condition, and he will be there to greet her, to her surprise, since our Frank always considered himself a friend of hers, although she was scarcely aware of his existence.

[...] Miss Callahan, a retired schoolteacher, was also acquainted with Frank Watts. It was Jane’s initial contact with the Frank Watts personality, through the Ouija board, that led to these sessions. F. Watts has been dead perhaps twenty years, and is one of the personalities making up the Seth entity.

(In preparation for her next book, which will deal with the Seth material itself, Jane made an exploratory trip to several county records offices in Elmira; she is beginning an effort to track down Frank Watts. [...]

(Here Seth refers to Jane’s trip downtown to the records offices, in search of data on Frank Watts. [...]

The Frank Watts material represented communication on the first level of undifferentiated fields. Both Ruburt and Frank Watts were experimenting. [...]

[...] Seth has dealt with our Denmark lives in a few early sessions without going into much detail, and has occasionally referred to them in later sessions. In the second session, while still speaking to us through the personality of Frank Watts, Seth told us he had been a merchant who dealt in spices. [...]

[...] Now and then old Frank Watts comes through simply because he is the latest independent materialization, and is used to taking things upon himself. [...]

(“I was going to say that I got a charge out of your calling Frank Watts a fathead, at our seance the other night.”)

[...] On the other hand you knew me before I knew Frank Watts, and my vanity was astounding. [...]

[...] Miss Callahan and her illness, and her connection with Frank Watts, who purportedly was the first psychic contact Jane actually achieved, have been dealt with at length in various sessions. [...]

[...] And as far as assimilating our old friend Frank Watts, don’t let me lead you too far astray.

(I was about to ask Seth about assimilating Frank Watts.)

[...] We moved beyond Frank Watts’s “Timidity has roots of rage.” Seth announced his presence in the next, fourth, session: “I prefer not to be called Frank Watts. [...] Also: “I was Frank Watts to learn humility.” [...] Not only because of Jane’s intense early fears in this lifetime, I felt, but also because of past lives, as Frank Watts had indicated. [...]

At the board, my wife clumsily reached a personality named Frank Watts, an American schoolteacher who told us he’d died in 1931. [...] Yet in that third session Frank Watts told us that Jane had “Too much aggression.” [...] When I asked Frank Watts about those unresolved hates, he replied “No information direct permitted.”

[...] Why couldn’t he cure her, or at least help her?” My answer right here is that those questions were and still are answered to the best of the abilities of Jane, Seth, and myself in these private sessions, even while I keep in mind Frank Watts’s references to Jane’s “Timidity has roots of rage.” [...]

[...] (Sue’s latest, Speaking of Jane Roberts, is crowded with much frank and loving information about Jane and me that I have no room to go into here.) Peggy Gallagher and her husband Bill worked for the Elmira Star-Gazette; as a reporter Peg wrote several well-received articles about Jane and the Seth material. [...]

[...] (Only then a personality fragment of Seth’s, named Frank Watts, was speaking to us. [...]

[...] They are fully as idiotic as Frank Watts in his Mason’s robes.

(Here, as though for my benefit, since I am so interested in Frank Watts, Jane pounded upon the table I use as a writing desk.)

Frank Watts made a few stabs in that direction, and almost got severely wounded. [...]

Incidentally, I was able to give you some of the information about Miss Callahan by drawing upon some of the abilities or qualities of Frank Watts, even though he is resting at the time.

[...] I did not have anything of that nature to play around with, and I doubt that Frank Watts even knew recorders existed. [...]

[...] It was to his class that Jane spoke on censorship in art and writing—and also ran into “a Frank Watts in poet’s clothing,” as Seth called him, in the form of another guest speaker.

Frank Watts liked his cigars. [...]
