Individual psychological mechanisms are activated, sometimes, in terms of neurosis or other mental problems; these bring out into the open inner challenges or dilemmas that otherwise would be worked out more easily through an open give-and-take of conscious and unconscious reality —

(We feel that the importance of Seth’s work far surpasses our own comments, of course, yet I do like to remind the reader now and then of Seth-Jane’s spontaneous delivery of these sessions.

Basically, it is not necessary that Ruburt work out, but because you both believe that it is, then it becomes so, you see. [...]

(Malba said the state before going to sleep is a good one in which to receive visions and should also be used to suggest good health to the subconscious, to suggest that it help you as far as your work goes, and to suggest that practical daily matters will be taken care of. [...]

([Daniel:] “It sounds like a lifelong task just to work out the first half of that before you would begin to relate to other people.”)

(Joel told of finding a man asleep at his work, explained his feeling and emotions and could he change them?)
