[...] It should be no surprise, then, that this same kind of “fitting together” includes subjective life also—or that, say, your private dreams are also fragments in a vaster dream reality. They are as important to the operation of that reality as electrons are to your physical one (long pause), providing inner pathways for the accumulation of wisdom and pleasure.

[...] Now: Dreams occur at so many levels of reality that it is quite impossible to describe their true scope. [...]

[...] Dreaming touches upon both microscopic and macroscopic events, or realities, and is not simply a human characteristic, appropriately appearing within your own range or within your own species. [...]

Those sequences follow the pursuits of value fulfillment so smoothly that they can be reactivated whenever the conditions are fortunate—for even the animals are not concerned with simple survival alone, nor the plants, but with what I can only call (long pause) emotional qualities: qualities that seek a full appreciation and creative extension of those conditions of consciousness that stamp each species as itself and yet join it with all others.

This merely means that the characteristics of their reality differs from the reality of physical construction. There is always an inner comprehension of such constructions, but the conscious mind has its purpose of dealing with the world of physical construction, is itself a physical construction, and unaware of other realities.

[...] What is perceived changes, as what is created changes.

[...] In the past he was not as honest as he is now with himself, and in his younger years as an adolescent he would never allow himself to know exactly what he was angry at.

(The morning after the above session had been held [on September 30, 1974], I asked Jane to write down what she’d told me at about 1:15 A.M. I remembered her description of it at the time, even though I’d been pretty bleary by then, but I wanted her own version for use here. [...]

[...] We were left thinking that the general tone of Seth’s material early in the session, especially in his references to such ideas as “historical sequences” and “alternate realities,” might have served as a trigger.

(A note added later: Seth himself had some things to say about Atlantis in the 742nd session for Section 6; the session also contains excerpts from the Atlantis material he delivered a month or so after finishing Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. [...]

[...] In fact, Jane said, it was a more valid and true statement of reality than the other gift from Sue—After Man, by Dougal Dixon. [...] Regardless of that, I eventually decided that I was glad to receive the gift, no matter what Sue does or doesn’t know about evolution. [...]

Dreams involve a certain kind of inner motion, and in a manner of speaking, at least, exterior motions consist of dream activities also, and in a dream reality that everyone more or less agrees is a separate, objective world. [...]

A strong coming-into or focusing of inner reality into the objective form of the painting. You are allowing now the inner form to come out fully, and, to bring its own reality and environment with it. [...]

(We did not know which personality would speak this evening, nor what subjects would be covered. [...]

[...] But through them and their apparent destruction the poison is seen and recognized for what it is. [...]

The natural world itself is a gateway to other realities. [...] In fact, the natural world is itself a part of other realities, and the source of all realities is as present in your existence as in any other.

[...] Their feelings can run something like this: “If I’m meant to live, these drugs won’t hurt me, and if I’m meant to die, what difference does it make what I take?” They are taking a certain kind of chance with their own lives, however — those who indulge in such activities — and the stakes can be high.

The objects in the physical universe are but symbols to express other realities existing within private realms. [...]

You are seeing what could have happened to yourself. I am not just speaking physically, but you are seeing with growing understanding, and what you see will help others.

He was so direct emotionally that he idealized what he thought of as your relative detachment. [...]

When you have out-of-body experiences, you can become aware of the nature of inner reality more directly.

[...] It would make no difference who or what you were. [...] Certain mental problems would be called schizophrenic —period—with little attempt being made to understand that a certain unique individual had drastic problems differentiating between realities.

Now the species does have its life-tasters, rising always out of any given time to check on the overall quality of life, to see what new ingredients should be added—what new directions should be followed, what new ideas or inventions must be planted for future harvest.

[...] I wanted to know what happened to the loyal opposition, I told Jane. [...] Did those who could have made a dent in such mechanistic thinking simply drop out of such fields when they realized what the score was? [...]

[...] We don’t know why the delay, but the batch makes up for what we’d taken to be a drop in the volume of mail over the last month; Jane had worried about falling sales, or some such thing. [...]

Any one of these various layers of consciousness can be used as the normal acting consciousness, reality being viewed from that specific standpoint.

Physical reality is therefore glimpsed by other kinds of personalities in other systems, from their own unique viewpoint. [...]

(9:20.) As these systems are adjacent to yours, so is yours adjacent; alternate focus allows personalities from other realities to perceive your own, then, as it can theoretically at least allow you a glimpse into their existence.

[...] The following excerpts from her paper show the unity that underlies her daily activities; for she thinks that her own dream experiences, “Unknown” Reality, and The Wonderworks — to use a set of recent examples — are so interrelated that practically speaking it would be futile to try to separate them.

2. Jane has yet to publish her account of what happened when she deliberately set out to find Seth. [...]

A portrait must contain a searching and a deep statement of the human condition, a reaching out toward the mystery that is another person, whether the person exists in your mind, or physical reality, or both. [...]

If you choose the first approach, then you must plunge wholeheartedly into the person you are using as model, and immerse yourself in his reality, and from this let the painting flow.

That challenge was difficult, but offered, and still does offer the opportunity for a kind of personal exploration of reality to which few have access. In certain terms, such new understanding can also bring its own stresses and strains, simply because such individuals must of necessity find themselves ahead of their times, and in a different position than they were in before with their normal accepted reality.
