(Pause.) To me this would be highly disadvantageous. From my viewpoint, you are far more alone than I. (Long pause.) From my viewpoint, it is difficult to understand your intense preoccupation with a system that represents such a small portion of your whole experience. (Pause.)
Seth as you knew him perceives your own system more clearly. (Pause.) From my viewpoint (pause) I do not perceive your physical universe then as you do. I do perceive your psychic values and emotional intensities, and realize that you perceive but very small segments of these. As you break down the spacious present into moments, which you then experience, so also you break down psychic identity, gestalts, into small self-structures.
(Jane said that when “he” began talking about “my viewpoint,” she was really “up there” in the pyramid or cone. When I asked the question referring to the stronger Seth voice Jane felt somewhat bothered. The question, the interruption and the sound of my intruding voice, seemed to bother her and bring her down to another level, she said. Not greatly, but she did notice it. Nor do all questions bother her.
I am speaking of my natural position. I can alter my viewpoint in which case your system becomes much clearer to me.

Physical reality is therefore glimpsed by other kinds of personalities in other systems, from their own unique viewpoint.

From some of these viewpoints, your physical matter has little or no permanency, while to others your own thoughts have a shape and form, perceived by observers but not by yourselves.

He has not as yet changed his viewpoint to that of a normally flexible person, but it is vastly improved from the one he had only a short while ago.
[...]
The new viewpoint, with its new attractions—helping with work, helping with house chores—these automatically take his mind elsewhere, and act as further stimuli.
[...]
[...]
He is quite importantly beginning to change the viewpoint from which he previously viewed his reality.
[...]
[...]
At the same time he often feels the need to stand apart from life, from the fleeting thoughts, the daffodils or the insight, so that he will not be lost completely in the moment, but able to form almost a second self with a larger viewpoint, who can then more clearly examine and understand the thought, the moment, or the insight.

– Session 756, September 22, 1975 9:17 P.M. Monday
The “off-center” quality sensed in dream activity, comma, the different viewpoints, the perspective alterations, all can add to a chaotic picture when the dream state is viewed from the waking one.
[...]
Using it, you can perceive events not only from your own viewpoint, but from other focuses.
[...]
[...]
When you are dreaming, from your viewpoint you are entering other levels of reality quite as native to your psyche, but usually you are still experiencing those events through your current “waking station.”
