“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(The brief session was held in the office of Jane’s publisher, Frederick Fell, in New York City. On August 15, Jane had declined to appear on the Alan Burke TV show, WNEW-TV.

I am very pleased that we did not appear on the TV program, but I knew, you see, that we would not do so.

(Much more, of course, was said at the meeting between Jane, F. Fell and me, than is noted here. The meeting was cordial and the conditions right for Seth to come through. Jane said she doubted that any such contact with Seth could have been established on the Burke TV show.

(Jane met no old acquaintances at Star Island or in Boston, nor was any unusual session held. On August 9, Wednesday, Jane was invited by telephone to appear on the Burke TV show in New York City. On the evening of August 15, Tuesday, Jane and I were having supper at an outdoor restaurant, The Californian, at 7th Avenue and Broadway in New York City. At 7:30 PM, we were approached by Merle Cratsley of Odessa, New York, an old friend.

[...] And in a gathering of three people watching the same TV drama, say, each of them might be interpreting different portions of the program so that those portions correlate with their individual dreams of the night before, and serve to bring them their dream messages in ways they can accept....”

Now when your teacher appears on the TV screen, he is not aware consciously of himself within the image that you see. [...] I am aware of myself, going with our analogy, within the image that you would see on your TV screen. [...]

I do not mean to infer that our dear friend Ruburt is simply a channel on a TV screen. [...]

(The service man from the TV cable company was still working at the back of the house. [...]

(At 10:22 the TV serviceman knocked on the door, just as Jane finished the above sentence. [...]

(The TV gal came in to collect for the week. [...]

[...] She lay watching TV while I walked over to pick up the car—which looked fabulous. [...]

(The second question had to do with Seth’s ideas about our appearing on the David Susskind show, TV, in New York City, should we be asked. [...]

[...] (The TV show.) Ruburt could make it physically—maybe not in the condition you would like, but he could appear on the show. [...]

[...] I would like to add here that we did realize that it wasn’t utterly impossible, physically, for Jane to negotiate an appearance on the TV show. [...]

[...] (Pause.) Now when you watch, say, educational TV, you see the teacher, and he speaks. [...] So now see Ruburt as my TV screen. [...]

The teacher transforms the TV screen until the TV screen becomes momentarily the teacher. [...]

(I massaged Jane with Oil of Olay after I turned her, took my nap, checked the TV programs for the evening, said the prayer with her, and left at about 7:05. [...]

(Jane ate well again, after I’d massaged her with Oil of Olay and taken a short nap while she watched TV. [...]

[...] Remembered James, I guess,/ and return to natural data; asked for help from supernatural force working through nature and then concentrated on the TV while eating. [...]

[...] This time I’d been hired to draw a comic strip featuring Tom Selleck, of the TV show Magnum, P.I. I saw the Sunday page of the strip quite clearly in the dream, several times. [...]

[...] She ate a good supper—veal parmigiana—and I left at 7:15, after checking the TV schedule for the night, and reading the prayer with her. [...]

[...] I came down with it after asking Seth last Monday, December 7, whether the taped session we’d made for the Claire TV show in Washington had been shown yet. My pendulum also told me that communication problems involving Jane, other than the TV show question, caused the “cold,” etc.

The question that you asked concerning the (TV) program was symbolic in your mind to other information—
