And from the 521st session (after 10:17) for Chapter 4 of Seth Speaks: “The word ‘result,’ you see, automatically infers cause and effect — the cause happening before the effect — and this is simply one small example of the strength of such distortions, and of the inherent difficulties involved with verbal thought, for it always implies a single-line delineation.”

[...] The reasons were obvious, I thought: This morning she’d awakened with her neck, back, and so forth in a very rigid state—so I wanted to know what had happened yesterday, or recently, to bring about this state of affairs when we’d thought we were making at least a modest kind of progress. (We had attempted to find reasons for her rigidity this morning through using the pendulum, with some success, we thought, but as the day passed there was little response physically on Jane’s part.

I thought you would be interested. [...]

I thought I would come to your assistance, for such a book would solve many problems. [...]

(And as we said at break, one of those ideas that seems so simple, once heard; so obvious that we wondered why we hadn’t thought of it long ago ourselves.)
