(As I have said before, Seth has a way of answering questions that come up in conversation or even confirming or clarifying thoughts I have worked out for myself, without mention to anyone. [...]

“Camouflage” became a familiar word to us in those early sessions, and we thought it an excellent one for Seth’s purposes — but rather oddly, except for using it once in a while in recent years, he’s largely dropped it from his vocabulary.

In the first place, language as you know it is a slow affair: letter by letter strung out to make a word, and words to make a sentence, the result of a linear thought pattern. [...]
