TES5 Session 212 November 29, 1965 temperature correlations test Martin wall

This correlation between the layers of the subconscious and temperature ranges is true, or rather observable, only when the personality is in an inactive state. Suggestions of motion or excitement given to it would change and affect the temperature reading, so that this characteristic temperature range could be unnoticed.

It would do no harm to purchase a thermometer, taking Ruburt’s temperature before, after and during some sessions. Anything that you learn is to your benefit along these lines, and will serve us all well. The thermometer could also be used of course to test any temperature changes occurring in a regular trance state. These are merely suggestions which I feel may be of benefit.

It should be noted however, that with the exception of several other circumstances the various levels of the subconscious can be found to fall within definite temperature ranges. To some extent this fact can be ascertained through hypnosis. However, suggestion as to the effect that the subject’s temperature should rise or fall would tend to obscure the effect.

Again, any changes, or any lack of changes will be significant, and will help you distinguish the differences between various levels of consciousness as they show themselves physically within the organism. You see here that if temperature and pulse is noted before sessions, you may find a correlation that exists between these and specific instances of clairvoyance as demonstrated during a given session, and another given session. Do you follow my point here?

TES8 Session 420 July 1, 1968 Bernard letter Dr temperature statement

As a rule body temperature, after certain preliminary stages, is lowered during Ruburt’s trance state. [...] All communications depend upon inner electromagnetic manipulations in any case, even for example mental images, and body temperature is also related here.

[...] Dreams themselves activate physical temperature however, and all bodily processes. Except in periods of extreme physical heat however, the temperature changes and the resulting electromagnetic alterations, are easily converted into legitimate impressions of a clairvoyant nature, precognitive information, and so forth.

[...] If the physical temperature is too high however, then there are breaks that occur, particularly in the case of ordinary mental images, and in for example reception of clairvoyant impressions.

In out-of-body experiences from the dream state however, there is a lowering rather than a heightening of body temperature, even though dream elements are involved.
