Any biologist who is a true Darwinist would find these statements of Seth’s to be anathema: “Psychic and religious ideas, then, despite many drawbacks … are far more important in terms of ‘evolution’ than is recognized.” [...] (From the 690th session, in Volume 1.) Such a scientist would have the same reaction to Seth’s statement that “Consciousness always creates form, and not the other way around.” [...]

Seth prepared the way for these statements by declaring in the 684th session, in Volume 1: “It is truer to say that heredity operates from the future backward into the past, than it is to say that it operates from the past into the present. Neither statement would be precisely correct in any case, because your present is a poised balance affected as much by the probable future as the probable past.”

[...] Some probable realities might be reached — potential conscious achievements that I think are already within the reach of certain gifted individuals, Jane among them.¹⁹ Jane and I would rather say that the variability among humans [or the members of any other species] at the molecular level is a reflection of Seth’s statement that we each create our own reality, with all that that implies.

The secrecy of childhood is connected because of Welfare, and your own statements to him often, years ago, not to tell people anything. Those statements reinforced earlier beliefs.

The language will be a necessary aid in the physical statement that must of course finally be made, but the final statement then, or physical interpretation, will be far truer to your original experience.

(Even though he said he was through with Mass Events for the evening, the first subject Seth touched upon now — my dream of early yesterday morning — certainly was related to statements he’d made just before break, like this one: “When you enter time and physical life, you are already aware of its conditions.” [...]

2. I think that tonight, when he started talking about the inclination of Framework 2 toward good or constructive development, Seth began to elaborate a bit on his statement after 9:50 in the last session, when he told us that the universe “is automatically predisposed … toward the creation of ‘good’ events.”

[...] At one time I had decided never to sell the portrait, but gradually changed my view on this in the light of my own feelings, along with Seth’s statements concerning my using my work to influence others. [...]

(I am not sure that Seth’s statement on page 150 constitutes a distortion, when he mentions that a communication between our universe and the universe of negative matter is possible. [...]

[...] She is to say, “I feel inferior,” and at the same time to understand that the feeling is not a statement of fact but of emotion. [...]

Experiencing your emotions as such is not the same as accepting them as statements of fact about your own existence. [...]

[...] This morning I finished the final statements for our 1983 taxes. [...]

[...] Such beliefs are apparent in statements such as: “Madness is the other end of sanity,” or “All genius is touched with madness.”

2. For those who are interested: As soon as Seth mentioned the “psychological activity” of atoms and molecules, I was intuitively and strongly aware of connections between his statement and at least two principles of modern physics. [...]
