(When these private sessions first began in earnest perhaps a few months or a year ago, this was one of the first questions I asked. Seth very nicely said that Jane did take my feelings into considerations; but I never thought the answers were very satisfactory, and without checking the record I do not remember any benefits flowing from the session.)

(The circumstances surrounding Jane’s delivery of Seth’s Preface, while she was in trance, are given in the 685th session for February 25, 1974, in Section 1. After a break midway through the session, Seth began the material below at 10:57 P.M. He always indicates each word, phrase, or sentence to be underlined. [...]

[...] Jane Roberts’s husband, Robert Butts, wondered about the death of his mother (on November 19, 1973). In a session (the 679th for February 4, 1974) he brought out some old photographs. [...]

1. Seth first announced his presence by name to Jane and me in the 4th session, held on December 8, 1963. [...]

[...] She couldn’t read the session after a good lunch, so I read it to her at 3:18. [...]

(The first time I read her the session she fell asleep when I got to the Seth material, so after she came awake with a start I read it to her again. [...]

(So as we waited for the session I told Jane that I didn’t know which to ask Seth to talk about—my question from last session, or the arrival of God of Jane and her new physical changes.)

(We haven’t held a session since last Tuesday evening. [...]

(I’ve reread the last session to Jane from my notes each morning since it was held. [...]

[...] When she called me for the session at 8:30, she showed me how she has picked up unaccustomed movement in her legs: She could raise her legs several inches higher—the right one the easiest—than she’d been able to do this morning; obvious signs that the changes were beneficial. [...]

(On a visit on April 15, Pat verified as much as possible the data Seth gave in the 334th session. She also confirmed as much as possible, apparently, the projection Jane achieved to the Boston classroom during this session, the 329th session.)

(I hadn’t read today’s local paper until I had a minute to scan it while we waited for the session to begin. [...] It’s attached to this session as page 302 and describes what seems to be in ordinary terms a senseless and horrendous story: A 20-year-old drunken driver crashed head-on into another auto, killing two people, the father and an aunt, and putting the other five passengers, all members of the same family, into the hospital. [...]

(Jane wanted some material on herself for the balance of the session, in line with my comments recorded at the start of this session. [...]

A small point I wanted to mention: we have used Monday evenings for a certain kind of healing process, which is why sometimes no sessions are held then.

I want to give a fairly thorough session Wednesday on your current circumstances, and Ruburt’s condition, so I will do that then. [...]
