Results 421 to 440 of 1932 for stemmed:session
(John Bradley was a witness to the session. John brought with him confirmation of some of Seth’s predictions given in the 439th session, to Jane’s pleased surprise. [...] John is going to go over the session material, using his recorder, to sum up Seth’s predictions to date re Searle.
(Again, see the 439th session. [...] The falling of the man from the first triangle was predicted by Seth in the 439th session, on Sept. 30, 1968, and took place a few days before this session.)
(The session was also witnessed by Estelle and Dave Craig, 1750 E. 21st Street, Brooklyn, New York. The Craigs drove up from New York City late this afternoon to attend the session. [...]
(Estelle first called Jane this morning to ask about a session; due to a misunderstanding Jane thought she called from Elmira and agreed to the Craigs’ attending this evening. After supper Jane received another call from Estelle while they were en route, and then we realized the effort being made by the Craigs to witness the session.
The group may also be instrumental in the future in providing session-to-session transcripts of past sessions.
(In this session. [...] The results of this study will be included with a later session, which may be named here by number at least.)
(This would be the second of seven revelatory dreams Jane is to have, according to Seth in the 492nd session. See the 499th session for material dealing with the first such dream. [...]
[...] I had thought of next Monday’s session as being soon enough at first, but by now the dreams were on my mind enough so that we thought of an unscheduled session. Also, other material in the regular sessions seemed to push the dream material aside.
(When Jane expressed a willingness to hold the session, she sipped a glass of wine while we waited for Seth to appear. [...] Nevertheless the start of the session caught me by surprise. [...]
(It will be remembered that in recent sessions Seth has promised to discuss two dreams which have been on my mind recently. [...]
(At 8:55 as we sat for the session Jane got another flash, concerning time, that it is “intensely personal, that we create it,” from Seth. She thought Seth would speak on time this evening, in continuing answer to my question in the 422nd session; concerning the manner in which Seth’s larger entity appreciates our time system.
(We were on vacation at Enfield Glen from July 19 to 28, and no sessions were held.
We will divide our session into two parts.
[...] Jane read the four questions over—the formulae were meaningless to her—before the session, but we doubted if Seth would have time to deal with Pat’s letter and the questions in one session.
(The pace for the session was fast, usually emphatic, and Jane’s trances were deep. Throughout the session Seth spoke to me directly as though I were Pat instead, as he explains later.)
[...] Now I wish this session was recorded so you could hear me, for I hold you, as Ruburt does, closely and dearly as a friend. But you are bound to misinterpret what I say in some sessions, and so it behooves me to speak more plainly. [...]
(There had undoubtedly been a strong emotional condition operating during this session, and at its end both Jane and I felt a strong lassitude, most unusual for us after a session. [...]
The sessions add extra energy and impetus, so that many of Ruburt’s improvements show themselves near or close to the session format. [...]
[...] I told you also that these sessions exist on many other levels of activity, so the sessions are translated directly into the body itself, correcting old errors, for example, and helping the body thus to clear itself of old debris. [...]
(I went over the last seven sessions with Jane, since we hadn’t done this yesterday. [...]
[...] We’ve noticed that her bursts of motion usually take place to their greatest extent around session time, of course. [...]
(The 706th session was held as scheduled last Wednesday night, and our guest, Tam Mossman, did witness it — but since Seth didn’t come through with any dictation for “Unknown” Reality during the session, it’s hereby deleted.
(Earlier this evening I reminded Jane of the conversation about cells, versus their components, that we’d had because of Seth’s material at 9:38 in Session 705. Some of tonight’s book work refers to the questions growing out of our talk I think, as does Seth’s brief clarification near the end of the session.)
5. Jane herself first mentioned “lands of the mind” during break in the 703rd session, which was held some three weeks ago — but she’d picked up the phrase from Seth. See the notes at the close of that session, in Volume 1.
NOTES: SESSION 707
[...] She had a smoke, then tried to read yesterday’s session after I’d massaged her neck, but she couldn’t do it very well so I ended up reading it to her. I wanted to go over some of the past sessions in this group with her, but we never did get to it, what with cigarettes, people coming in, my reading her letters from a fan and Steve Blumenthal, and so forth. We didn’t go over past sessions yesterday, either. [...]
I like to speak to you each day for a while, if only briefly, since the session itself sets up a climate in which healing is greatly promoted. [...]
One small note: the book about Oversoul Seven is writing itself, so to speak, while you are devoting yourselves to these sessions. [...]
(I read yesterday afternoon’s session to Jane this morning. As we’d discussed last evening, we decided to try for another session this morning, possibly to get more specific material on some of the questions I’d raised in the notes for yesterday’s session. [...]
(After the session, Jane could almost come up with something about her feelings of abandonment, yet couldn’t quite do so. [...]
(Before tonight’s session I mentioned to Jane that I hoped Seth would discuss the August 12-15 date he gave for Miss Callahan, and would mention Bill’s report on his predictions. Jane had no idea of the subject matter for the session, although she expected the session to be short. [...]
When we have an unexpected or unscheduled session, I will always endeavor to shorten the succeeding session, as in this case.
I told you that this will be a short session, and so it will. I do suggest that on session nights Ruburt find some time to relax. [...]
(Continuing the story of narcotics in Elmira as predicted by Seth in the 63rd session, June 17, 1964, there was published in the Elmira paper for Saturday, Aug. [...]
(Since we wonder if clairvoyant data involving Dr. Instream will be a regular feature of the sessions from now on, we mentioned this before the session. We also wondered what Seth would have to say about the Cosmopolitan affair, and last night’s unscheduled session, witnessed by John Bradley.
(The session was held in our back room. [...] Her voice was quiet, in contrast to last night’s noisy unscheduled session. [...]
[...] In 1963 we borrowed from our landlord, Jimmy Spaziani, the Ouija board that led to the sessions. See my Introduction, plus various sessions, in Volume 1.
(It will be remembered that in the unscheduled 184th session Seth said that Cosmopolitan Magazine would be interested in an excerpt from Jane’s ESP book, but that nothing would happen right away. [...]
(While looking for a private session for Sue Watkins yesterday I came across the one dated April 12, 1971. [...] Jane read it before the session. [...] I certainly hoped it didn’t. The session contains an excellent opening line or two that I want to use in a note for Mass Events.
(Jane was getting more and more relaxed as we sat for the session. “But I didn’t want to miss a session,” she said sleepily. [...]
[...] Beside that, the session given recently on the creative state, is vital, for you became hypnotized, of course, by the materialized situation. So reread that session with this one. [...]
(Jane often rereads the private session for July 16, 1979.
(Jane had remarked the other day that she thought Seth would talk about her reaction to class and the mail—topics discussed in the opening notes for the last session. I was also still thinking about her reaction to the sessions themselves: the idea that she could feel inferior to Seth and/or the material was, as I noted, a pretty new one for me, and somewhat surprising. [...] See page 289 of the last session. [...]
(We almost didn’t have the session. [...] All this time she was so uncomfortable in her chair that I thought she’d pass up the session, although I’d been hoping she’d get at least a little something on herself; I thought we shouldn’t be losing any chances to do so at this time. [...]
(Finally she called me for the session at 9:40 PM. Again she struggled to get comfortable, just as she’d done for last Wednesday night’s session. [...]
[...] We went over it together; she is to type it together before long, when it will be added to a session.
Neither of us had counted the sessions we have for Dreams, but when I made a quick check the next day I was surprised to discover that Jane’s estimate is only two short of the 32 sessions Seth has called book dictation. I’m still busy typing the final manuscript for Mass Events, but we’ve already planned that I’ll be adding several “nonbook” sessions, and excerpts from others, to Dreams when finally I get to concentrate on the production work for it And my own opinion, I explained to Jane, is that Seth is considerably more than halfway through this book, even if we add more extra sessions to it.)
(We skipped last Wednesday night’s regularly scheduled session. Jane was especially interested in trying for a short session now, however, and I brought her red wine on ice.
SESSION 919, JUNE 9, 1980
9:15 P.M. MONDAY
She’s been most intrigued by Seth’s referrals to the concept of “master events” ever since he gave them in the final session for Chapter 8—preparations, she hoped, for his material this evening. [...]
This session should throw considerable light upon them. I would never suggest continuing with the sessions at the expense of Ruburt’s mental or physical health.
(It was late by the time we sat for the session. [...]
[...] As you know, his presence in this chair (eyes open, Jane pointed to the Kennedy rocker in which she sat) at regular session time provides the same sort of concentration and focus in another direction.
[...] The pent-up spontaneity helped make our sessions possible, and in one way or another will always erupt. [...]
[...] In addition to Seth’s volume, these sometimes resulted in very creative products of her “own”: Some of the psychic experiences connected with her book of poetry, Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time, which she began in November, 1972, are described in the 639th session in Chapter Ten. And in the 653rd session in Chapter Thirteen, we go into those involved with the writing of her long poem, Dialogues of the Speakers, on April 2, 1973.
[...] The safest thing to say would be that each session, even, adds to our knowledge of what a constantly expanding whole self can be. [...]
3. Here Seth quotes himself exactly from an unscheduled session held on February 26, 1972, during our vacation in Marathon, Florida.
SESSION 619, OCTOBER 9, 1972
9:06 P.M. MONDAY
I would suggest that this session and the last session be read over most carefully. [...]
(This session was held in our bedroom. [...]
[...] Her pace was average at the beginning, but became progressively slower as the session wore on.)
Our last session was an extremely fruitful one, and much of that material will be important in our future discussions.
(In this last segment of the session, Jane’s voice was extremely low, and dwindled almost into nothing as the last words were spoken. I was very near interrupting the session. [...] Jane didn’t feel particularly well before the session. [...]
(Bill and Peggy Gallagher were witnesses to the session.
[...] Resume session.)
I told you, Joseph, that I would discuss the magnetic alterations that caused me to call a quick ending to our last session. [...]
[...] Yet I could agree with Seth in tonight’s session. [...] When we finished breakfast I read the session to Jane. [...] When she asked me what I thought about the session I replied that “we had no choice” but to try to implement it. [...]
(Note that I managed to finish Tuesday’s session last night after all, by working a bit later. [...] By bedtime at midnight she had some things to say about the content of my notes—defending herself to some extent, naturally, and I told her to type her notes and add them to the session today. [...]
Reading the sessions of the Magical Approach with some consistency is now in order, where for example I might counsel at another time that they be set aside for a while. [...] That should be a part of the program, in other words, regardless of what Ruburt intends to do bookwise with those sessions. [...]
[...] I would like to deviate from the session notes here, and comment that sometimes typing this material several days after it’s been given isn’t easy: One’s ideas change, to such a degree even that opinions and feelings of even a few days ago can seem mightily out of place. When I wrote the notes for this session, I probably felt as badly as I ever have, whereas when I now find myself typing this material [on November 9] I am aware of a most heartening change for the better. [...]
[...] “Well, it’s five days since we sat for the last session, on,” I said, “and we’ve accomplished nothing.” [...]
[...] Jane has slept just about all of each day, sitting in her chair, since the last failed session. [...]
[...] I added that I no longer believed the later sessions, in which Seth had talked about her getting better by the holidays this year, or her having turned a corner in probabilities. [...]
