(After my sensation episode [see page 81] I made a second try at psychological time. As I lay on my back I felt residues of the sensation on the tops of my legs and feet. [...]

[...] This is not the now-familiar sensation of swelling in the fingers and the palm, but rather one of actual physical increase in size. [...]

(As the sound of the siren began to fade, my old familiar sensation that Seth has called the feeling of sound, swept over me quite strongly from head to toe—the rich tingling, the deep thrilling internally; I felt as though I might be lifted up; this feeling is very pleasant and sensuous now that I am no longer alarmed by it.

[...] Men and women are born, however, with curiosity about all sensations, and about all possible life experiences. [...]

[...] It is natural for a child to be curious about suffering, to want to know what it is, to see it—and by doing so he (or she) learns to avoid the suffering he does not want, to help others avoid suffering that they do not want, and to understand, more importantly, the gradations of emotion and sensation that are his heritage. 5. I experienced much stronger thrilling sensations two and a half weeks ago, during my perceptions of myself as Maumee, the black woman who lived in Jamaica in the early 1800’s. See the opening notes for the 721st session, with its Note 1. In Appendix 21, Seth remarked that those suffusing feelings are my personal sign that I’ve made a “neurological changeover.” [...]

[...] This is the correct general time period for my visions, I think, and I felt a surge of thrilling sensations as I learned about certain subversive Zealot activities. [...]

[...] Try as I might, I couldn’t find the proper adjective to describe the groin sensations; they weren’t ones of pain—but what?

(One final note: At the beginning of this session I wrote that I had trouble describing the very uncomfortable sensation in my left groin—that it wasn’t pain. [...]

At once, my feet and legs felt very strange, filled with a rustling sensation. [...] The traveling sensations were very real, indisputable and somewhat frightening.

The sensation of intense speed was very real at the beginning of the experience, and during the entire episode I struggled to retain a critical sense which I alternately achieved and lost. [...]

I want to mention the difference in experience and sensation between projections from a dream state and those from the trance state and also what Ruburt calls awake-seeming dreams, for there are many things here that you do not know, and they are fairly important.

(On Tuesday, April 28, 1964, as she was dropping off to sleep, Jane experienced a rather unpleasant sensation within her body. [...] No other sensation or experience followed, and she fell asleep.

(Just prior to the following experience, Jane again underwent this jolting sensation. It was, she said, an actual physical sensation of a blow on the head. [...]

[...] Her hands still felt somewhat fat, she said, though the sensation was much milder than before. [...]

(Tuesday, 6/30, 8:30 PM: I experienced my usual sensation upon suggestion to myself that I felt light, although in quite a mild form. [...]

(Wednesday, 7/1, 8:15 PM: As soon as I lay down I began to experience my usual thrilling sensation. [...]

[...] I had noticed the same sensation perhaps two hours or so before the session. I had tried to quickly cut a paper tape to use in measuring the circumferences of my fingers, but before I could do this the sensation disappeared.

[...] Follow it as far as you can and keep your attention clear as to your sensations. [...]

[...] A sensation here, another one there, a pull of tendons, a sudden softening of tissue—such matters cannot be consciously interpreted. [...]

Had you both trusted the body, had you believed that it did indeed improve to improve, then Ruburt would have been more aware of the new balancing sensations and positions, and would not have added anxiety on top.
