1. One might say that Seth himself provided for Jane’s material here when, back in the 681st session, he talked about parallel events, alternate realities, and probable selves and worlds.

[...] Not because you should do it, but because you desire it … It is a great creative challenge that you can throw down to yourselves from your future selves.

Now the consciousness of such beings would also contain the consciousness of large numbers of probable selves and systems, experienced quite vividly and clearly as multiple presents. [...]

[...] On the other hand, if you allow yourselves freedom, if you give your inner selves freedom, then, indeed, you can leave your bodies happily, safely and easily. [...]

[...] You are, in other words, apparitions and in a gigantic mass hallucination you all agree upon the people that you see, and you all pretend that you are the selves that you see but you are far more than this. [...]

“What selves do you encounter in time? And what makes you think that those selves exist in time as you understand it only? [...]

[...] I do not feel invaded by the selves or identities that compose me, nor do they feel invaded by me — any more than the trees, rocks, and grass would resent the mountain shape (intently) into which they have grown.

[...] As I rebel against authority now — a characteristic remarked upon by Seth in the 721st session — so do my Roman selves in their times.

[...] I think all of this could be counterpart action, all right, personified by two selves living in the same narrow time period, in close proximity in the same geographical area of the Middle East.⁸

[...] This applies even to my Roman selves in their restrictive military environments (which are also protective), and even if their chosen courses of action result in demands or challenges they cannot surmount….

[...] On page 3,600 of our own sessions I find this: “The various reincarnational selves can be superficially regarded as portions of a crossword puzzle, for they are all portions of the whole, and yet they can exist separately.”

In fact, Seth gave three or four sessions in which he compared cases of “split” personalities to our reincarnation selves. [...]

There is no doubt, though, that a knowledge of reincarnational influences sheds invaluable light on the nature of personality and helps us to see our present selves with some perspective. [...]

[...] And by solving problems now, we can make things vastly easier for our “past” and “future” selves.

Many times people at the point of desperation seize upon such ideas, and often they are valuable because they relieve people of hidden guilts; they are not “to blame” for their difficulties—but certain elements outside of their own selves are the culprits. [...]

[...] (Long pause.) You have always sensed more than you knew, both of you, so in that area Framework 2 has represented a natural affiliation with your conscious selves. [...]

[...] I said our craving for such “entertainment” must reflect our basic social beliefs beneath our veneer of respectability — the conscious, negative fears of the unknown, meaning that we’ve created such a division in ourselves by shutting out our conscious awareness of our own true selves. [...]
