Ruburt would do that, while closing off reincarnational aspects because of possible past emotional content.

Now this is because Ruburt did not want to encounter his own past emotional history in this life. [...] This reaction however helped Ruburt to overcome his blocks against reincarnational aspects, and so each of you help the other in that regard.

The response of relaxation after the first session in fact helped set the stage for the better functioning that Ruburt noticed in various areas of the body this evening. Try to forget all notions that Ruburt might relax so suddenly that he would be in difficulty —not able to get about, say. [...] That is exactly what Ruburt has feared, relaxing, so such ideas seem to confirm such needless worries to some degree.

[...] This was the result of your own suggestions, for you said that Ruburt’s body would continue to relax as he slept.

[...] Your help, again, with the suggestions is invaluable in terms of your loving active aid—but also because you are convincing yourself that you live in a safe universe, so that Ruburt does not feel that he must battle for himself and for you. Now: when Ruburt worked out for money his ideas and beliefs concerning work were divorced from his ideas about creativity.

When Ruburt on the couch sensed himself in the chair giving a session, to himself on the couch, this was symbolic of a new kind of relationship between the two of us. At the same time it illustrated part of our relationship as it happens in sessions, in which Ruburt allows a portion of himself to step aside. [...]

Now: Ruburt had a different kind of experience lately. [...]

Ruburt’s subconscious has been thrown into a panic, and indeed feels cheated, since it had been preparing itself for the May 9 date, particularly since that date was mentioned here. I am having some few difficulties here, with our balky Ruburt, but I presume we can handle it.

I am not and never will, set Ruburt up or you up, Joseph, as any kind of superior beings, sacred in any way that all men and women are not sacred. If you and Ruburt have certain abilities to perceive, receive, translate and communicate that which some others cannot, many also have other abilities that neither of you do have.

I am certainly not a conglomeration of vaguely-defined creative aspects of Ruburt’s personality, that struggle for release. Ruburt’s own array of writings, published and unpublished, should testify that he needs no added creative outlet.

There is no invasion of Ruburt’s mind or subconscious on my part. [...] My name for him is Ruburt, which happens to be a male name simply because the name is the closest translation, in your terms, for the name of the whole self or entity, of which he is now a self-conscious part.

Any other ways that Ruburt can increase his daily enjoyment will also help. [...] If you do follow my suggestions concerning Framework 2, given this evening, your own experiences will lead to other creative ideas involving Ruburt’s condition, sales, and creative activity. [...]
