The 92nd session for September 28, 1964, was a basic one for information on dreams, and Jane quotes various portions of it in chapters 5 and 14, as listed above; I ask the reader to review that material especially (and in both books). [...]

[...] For now, however, I would like each reader to consider the members of his or her family, so that in a more direct fashion the reader can find in private experience a realization of some ideas I want to present.

[...] I hope, therefore, not only to explain the multidimensional aspects of personality, but to give each reader some glimpse of that greater identity that is his own.

[...] She said she had the impression that the material from Seth was highly condensed and directed, aimed at the reader, that he was trying to get the ideas across as clearly and concisely as possible.

I can tell you, for example, that there is consciousness even within a nail, but few of my readers will take me seriously enough to stop in midsentence, and say good morning or good afternoon to the nearest nail they can find, stuck in a piece of wood.

[...] Seth obviously elaborated on that material here, but instead of quoting it in Appendix 18 also, I thought of letting the reader first come across it in this session; and so, to whatever tiny extent, this additional information now alters each reader’s present reality by changing his or her conception of that Jane-Ruburt-Seth relationship.

[...] I suggest the reader review that material at this time.

[...] And does not each of my readers possess the same innate capacity? [...]

[...] Any reader can easily discover this by examining the groups to which he or she belongs.

[...] I’m sure that these excerpts from the material itself and some sample reincarnational readings will give most readers greater insights into their own personalities and the situations in which they find themselves. I hope that Seth’s theories on health will benefit all my readers, and that the material on personality will help each discover for himself the multidimensional reality that is his heritage.

[...] It served to introduce the students to Seth, and I will let a few excerpts from it serve the same purpose now, introducing Seth to those readers who have not heard of him:

The same kind of dilemma can arise in any reader’s experience whenever two strongly conflicting core beliefs meet. [...]

[...] Each reader can utilize the same method whether or not artistic achievement is also involved, through objectifying personal beliefs in a dialogue form. [...]

There are very definite, excellent side-effects of growing older, that we will also discuss in this book — but here I want to assure the reader that basically speaking there are no diseases brought about by old age alone (intently).

[...] The subject of suicide will also be discussed in a different context, and when I invite my readers to start over, I want it understood that you can indeed start over regardless of your age or circumstances.

Now the same exercise for readers will be a part of the book in a later chapter dealing with that subject partially. [...]

Although I think my system of presentation has a kind of order, still it’ll take study at times, and I can only ask the reader to patiently go along. [...]

Since the sections themselves are of unequal length, for a while I contemplated trying a four-and-two division; but as Jane commented, “Three sections in one book are enough of a bite for the reader.” [...]

[...] Not only would the reader be constantly involved in looking up specific items, but we felt that the shorter notes especially would be too far removed from their intimate positions within the sessions; we wanted these to enhance individual sessions directly without getting in the way, so I worked out a compromise which offers some sort of orderly presentation without being too rigid.

[...] In his or her own way, each reader can easily utilize the method.

[...] Reading this book, for example, any reader might say, “My trouble is that I am too emotional.” [...]

[...] Now reading this, many readers will be taken back, for they believe that love is the impetus, and that love is opposed to aggression. [...]
