(I also asked if Seth would comment upon the postponement by Gallery magazine, this month, of their interview with Jane, scheduled for January 23, a class night. Jane received a telegram from Richard Kearns a few days before the 23rd. He promised a letter of explanation which still hasn’t arrived as of this session. Even though Jane received a second telegram a few days ago, again promising the letter.
(In mid-February, Richard Kearns finally called Jane, to tell her he’d been fired from Gallery. He has her short story and a chapter of Seven—promised to return them—but not as of February 21....)

My presence, so to speak, has always been somewhat of a promise, as well as an actuality. For my presence and the sessions both do indeed imply a promise of knowledge beyond what is generally known, and, hopefully, of wisdom beyond that which is generally possessed. The sessions also imply the promise of a contact with a larger reality than your own—one large enough to contain the world that you normally recognize.
