(A group of us — Alex, Warren,² and others — had come over to Jane and Rob’s for a casual get-together, and also to talk about that week’s class, which seemed to be one of the “milestone” classes that happen occasionally.³ During the conversation, Alex said that the rise of literacy in the world would spread Seth’s ideas on a scale that had never previously been possible. I told Seth that it could be — but that I also wondered why over the centuries the species couldn’t have slowly accumulated a body of knowledge like that he was giving us now.

[...] Religion has been the cause of much prejudice and cruelty, but the bombs over Hiroshima were not caused by the Catholic Saint Teresa showering down any roses. [...]

(I asked the last question at 10:37, after a lengthy pause, to see if the session was over. [...] Well over a minute paused. [...]

[...] During the past week she must have dealt with over 80 letters—with another group answered just before that batch bringing the total to well over 100. [...]

(Tam Mossman and his fiancée Eve had been our guests over the past weekend, May 2—4; he had heartily approved the work Jane has completed on the Seth book and we thought that this belief might have something to do with Jane’s very relaxed state. [...]

Now this information will help in the most important way—to help him get over those blocks still operating. [...]

[...] I told you in our last session that the inner self will not take over entirely. [...]

Someone here this evening mentioned that it seemed that you only learn what life is and who you are and then your life is over; the time is brief. [...]

[...] I will note let you forget that, you see, but for tonight the experiment is not over. [...]

[...] The excess of our energy spills over into other creations. [...]

[...] It has divorced knowledge from emotion, understanding from identification, and stressed sexuality over personhood.

The overly specific sexual orientation, then, reflects a basic division in consciousness. [...]

Ideally, the adult male or female would rejoice in sexual expression and find an overall orientation, but would also bask in a greater psychological and psychic identity that experienced and expressed all of the great human capabilities of mind and heart, which splash over any artificial divisions.

(We also experienced a very cold wintry month indeed, including a series of massive snowstorms within the week just ended — “the worst in over a decade,” as I wrote in a note for last Saturday night’s private session.)

They cast their light over historical events because they are responsible for those events. [...]

[...] Then yesterday Jane received from her publisher the copyedited manuscript for James, so during the next week or so we’ll be very carefully going over that work, too.

(To Joel) And as for our friend over here, trust yourself, and when I say your self, I mean the entire self. [...]

[...] She is over, or will be over, the worst hump by then, and even the ego will be forced to acquiesce.

[...] With one foot on a chair, she leaned over to supervise each word I wrote. [...]

(Jane leaned smiling over the desk.)

(After watching the televised events from all over the world, Tuesday night I dreamed that in the future all households would be connected to interconnecting computers, keeping track of all inhabitants, actions, goods, and so forth. [...]

[...] His intellect will then begin to take over. [...]

(The night before this session was held Jane suggested that each day we read over a session, or talk or review some notes, as a way to give ourselves a “pep talk” and to lead us into the day. [...]

(“I know we’ve gone over it many times, but I need some refreshing on why he’s equated the lack of mobility with protection. [...]

(Sharon asked Seth if he knew of the lady in the apartment over her, and what Sharon had done for this woman.)

(To Sue after stating she had a headache.) You are simply upset over the implications of the probable selves and that caused the headache. [...]

[...] Now, tonight I am not going to ask you for a secret but I am going to ask you to tell why you did not tell the secrets that you glossed over. [...] Now each of you went over very thoroughly in your mind your charged list of secrets. [...]

[...] That it does not need a dour face nor long dark thoughts, and that it speaks like our friend over here. [...]

(After supper this evening I read over some of those 1973 private sessions that Seth referred to in last Monday night’s deleted session. [...]

[...] As I understand the present dilemma, over the long run, the more successful Jane becomes as a writer the more she feels she needs the symptoms to keep her chained to her desk, to cut out all distractions. [...]

[...] It appears the argument over the medical disclaimer for Mass Events may be on the way to a solution. [...]

[...] These concern my insight—a simplistic one to be sure—that one of Jane’s hassles results from her fear that Seth would take over if given the chance. [...] Note, however, that I wrote that she feared Seth would take over—not necessarily that he would if given the chance—a big difference. [...]

(Rather intently:) He would not have had the sessions to begin with over this period of time for your sake alone, or even for your sake primarily—they simply would have petered out. [...]
