When the ego becomes a mere observer rather than a controller, and momentarily suspends its rigid judgments, then inner direct experience is given some freedom and yet the ego is still aware of it. [...]

The outer senses observing the reflection might try to judge the depth of the water by the height of the tree, supposing it to be as deep as the tree is high.

[...] There is much you cannot observe. [...]

[...] The author explains the various theories for the origin of our observable universe of planets, galaxies, quasars, and so forth, presenting the evidence for and against each theory. [...]

[...] There is something out there (humorously emphatic) to observe.

[...] There have also been recent astronomical observations of several far-distant objects that appear to be “superluminous,” or traveling considerably faster than the speed of light. [...]

Much other energy however, while observing certain inner rules, is not so directed and can be brought under the dominance therefore of purposeful directed gestalts. [...]

(An extremely important observation.

(The vision was very clear, lasted for a long enough period to observe easily, and gave me strong thrilling sensations. [...]

(As usual, Seth’s observations about painting are excellent; I’ve said this many times before. [...]

[...] I don’t mean to be paranoid about this observation, merely that business is done that way and that the author, once he or she has produced the property to be played with, is relegated to a place much lower on the totem pole of importance.

(I am merely making these observations here to get them on the record for possible later reference, and to give some background to my own personal problems of recent days. [...]

If you could see the body with x-ray eyes, or could perceive its activity, you would observe an almost constant reactivation and revitalization of all those parts devoted to motion and locomotion—increased circulation—precisely the amount required: not too much or too little, and overall adjustments, so that all parts of the body are prepared and exercised, so that the final stages of the pattern will then easily seem to fall into place because of the work being done now.
