Using “real objects” now, you learn to manipulate energy with the models before you, so to speak, gaining confidence so that “later” you can trust yourselves in the use of energy without needing the physical appearance of, say, an object before you. [...]

[...] Your world of physical objects is quite important, in that because it allows you to deal with differentiations, to pinpoint energy where you want it while giving you an observable physical effect, so that this training can carry over in other realities in which the same kind of physical feedback is not available, is subsidiary, or is otherwise not as much a part of the camouflage structure.

[...] This simply means that there is not enough energy connected with the idea to propel it outward into the world of physical experience as an objective mass-experienced event.

You must remember that the objective world also is a projection from the psyche.² Because you focus in it primarily, you understand its rules well enough to get along. [...]

[...] Objects are the result of a specialized perception. I can perceive your objects as objects, or not—but the true nature of reality must come from a study of consciousness.

So-called objective science gives you a picture, a model, that has served well enough in its own fashion, enabling you to travel to the moon, for example, and to advance in a technology that for a time you set your hearts upon. In the framework of objective science as it now exists, however, even the technology will come up against a stone wall. Even as a means, objective science is only helpful for a while, because it will constantly run up against deeper inner realities that are necessarily shunted aside and ignored simply because of its method and attitude.² No objective science or splendid technology alone will keep even one man or woman alive, for example, if that individual has decided to leave the flesh, or finds no joy in daily life.

[...] In other words, unless the ideas behind objective science are altered, then gadget-produced altered states will almost certainly be used to manipulate, rather than free, consciousness.

(Toward the end of the session Seth said he thought the object Peggy has been carrying in her handbag has “something to do with rock,” and that a man had somehow been connected with it, or its origin. [...] The Gallaghers said nothing about the object at this point, nor did I. Later at break I forgot to ask them about it.

OBJECTIVE DATA

(Yesterday we received Dr. Instream’s letter of October 11, in which he asked that Seth try giving data on one location and one object in the clairvoyant tests.

Poor health is indeed caused mainly by habitual destructive thought patterns which directly affect the physical system, because of the particular range within the electromagnetic system in which they fall; and despite any objections I will stick by this statement. [...]

You may perhaps come closer to understanding how these psychological structures are manipulated if you consider the same sort of structures as they exist as dream objects in sleep.

[...] As dreams allow the inner self great freedom, and as in dreams great perspectives of time are available, and great freedom in space, though no space as you know it is involved, so it is possible for the ego itself to achieve the experience of freedom from time and space, if it would only allow itself for a short while to relax the intensity of its objective focus.
