Now, my welcome to those who came for the evening, and I have a few remarks to make to our regular class members. You have met many strangers lately, both in the dream state and in regular waking reality. And you met some strangers here last week. See that you learn who they were.

Some of you were quite surprised by the strangers that you met. None of you have made the connections as yet between the strangers you have met in your dreams, the strangers that have come to class, and your own experiences.

(To Bette.) There is also someone, my dear cousin of Richelieu, you forgot in your out-of-body state. Ask your friend who you met that you have forgotten.

[...] 1947 is mentioned, the year she met the child’s father; the age 17 is mentioned; she was 17 when she met him: a school connection mentioned and she was still in school at the time.

(Jane and I had visited the Wilburs at their trailer in Wellsburg last Friday evening, January 14, 1966, and met for the first time their 2-year old son, Scotty. [...]

He has met his former wife (Maxine, who died about 14 years ago, just as Jane and I met), but the connections are not good. [...]

Now, you (to Garrett) had your strongest sense of immediacy with our friend over here, and he encountered each of you according to his own light, at the moment, as he met you. Once they are recognized then they can be met and dealt with, but they cannot be intellectualized away, and denied while smothering them and pretending that they do not exist.
