You can literally choose between health and illness; between a concentration upon the mental more than the physical, or upon the physical more than the mental. [...]

Seth’s Preface is in Volume 1, of course, and it too should be studied again; to me, such acts of referral between the two volumes help the reader mentally unite them.

In those terms, when the subconscious considers health, it must also take into consideration the individual’s strong intents, in which case it is insuring the mental and emotional health in a somewhat different fashion.

[...] His illness itself made him question, until finally he realized the great mental vitality he possessed. That mental vitality led him to trust his body once again, and to act in direct contradiction to those previous beliefs of the doctors, family, friends, and society that had so bound him.

The inner mechanisms that happen prior to your experience will take place in the vast mental studio of Framework 2. Ruburt thinks that way fairly easily, so let him use the same kind of thought with his physical and psychic mobility, mentally imagining that he is opening inner rooms, discovering inner territory that has remained unclaimed or going back into delightful rooms, filled with motion that he had momentarily forgotten. Such a mental exercise, done in a light manner, can be highly beneficial, and serve as excellent impetus. [...]

(Long pause, eyes closed.) Any mental message is also received, in an electromagnetic code, and directly transferred, bypassing the conscious mind, into movement of the new temporary force field.

[...] Peculiarly, she had a mental image which she described now; while speaking for Seth she had seen, in color, blue water as in an ocean, and white sand and two people running toward the beach in bathing suits. [...]
