“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

During the rest of that September in 1963, I reread the “Idea Construction” manuscript many times, trying to understand it and hoping to recapture some of the feelings I had had during its delivery. [...]

[...] First had come her reactions to a group of upsetting letters she’d received this noon: One is a 20-page missive from a mental patient who wants returned to him all of the notes, objects, manuscripts, and books of poetry he’s sent her over the years: another is from a woman who informed us that she’s writing a book dictated by Seth: a third is a long letter from a man who’s claiming us as his counterparts, for reasons we can’t agree with. This section of the book will include excerpts from Seth’s manuscripts on the general nature of dream reality, dream investigation and recall and will be followed by a series of chapters on various kinds of dreams captured by Rob, my students and me as we checked out Seth’s theories, as far as we were able. (Recently we have been moving all of Jane’s old poetry, novel, short-story, psychic, and other manuscripts and notes, dating back to her grade-school work, out of the upstairs storeroom into our roomy front-room closet. [...]

Say that you are going to try to see Prentice-Hall’s reaction—will they accept the manuscript or not? [...]

(Following the conference with her editor late in June, Jane has devoted herself to finishing her manuscript for Adventures, while I’ve worked steadily on the diagrams for it, as well as on the drawings for Dialogues. [...] Then in late August, long before I had the 16 diagrams [plus two other pieces of art] done for Adventures, I mailed to Prentice-Hall Jane’s completed manuscript for that book. Adventures is scheduled for publication in mid-1975, but I’ll continue referring to it in these notes.

(Jane has been so busy finishing up the manuscript of her book on the Seth material, for Prentice-Hall, that we haven’t had a session since September 29.

[...] The religious ideas served as social organization, much needed, and many of the monks managed to preserve old manuscripts and knowledge underground. [...]

It is as if you have page 5 of a book, and glare at it because the entire manuscript is not there, and fuss and fume at what might happen to prevent the next page being written. [...]

And incidentally, necessary business concerning the sending out of manuscripts, he does not subconsciously consider, should be considered part of his writing day.
