A note: Just as he periodically reminds us of his material-to-come on physical aging and out-of-body states (see Note 4, above), Seth mentions that there are more inner senses he’ll tell us about someday — then adds that many of them are so far removed from reality as we understand it that our comprehension will be intellectual at best; in such cases we won’t be able to identify with them emotionally. [...]

[...] I’ll bet I could sleep for an hour, then start another session — we won’t bother, I know,” she laughed as I thought about trying it, “but when I feel the information coming I hate to stop….”

[...] I’m still busy typing the final manuscript for Mass Events, but we’ve already planned that I’ll be adding several “nonbook” sessions, and excerpts from others, to Dreams when finally I get to concentrate on the production work for it And my own opinion, I explained to Jane, is that Seth is considerably more than halfway through this book, even if we add more extra sessions to it.)

[...] I like to keep such penetrating remarks before me, and wish the reader would too, for I often fear they’ll become lost from conscious view within his material. [...]

(I’ll indicate Jane’s various states of consciousness as I usually do in these sessions, but the notes can only be hints from an interested observer. [...]

(In answer to many queries, I’ll explain here why I prefer to write these sessions down instead of using a recorder. [...]

[...] Then during class she handed me a note that I’ll paraphrase a bit here: “In a session on Sumari I witnessed in 1971 or early 1972 — I picked up a family-of-consciousness name, and Seth said it was ‘Grunaargh.’ It wasn’t on the list given last month.”

(“On second thought I’m afraid we’ll have to wait. …” I’d just realized how tired I was.)

[...] Here I’ll not only remind the reader of the sessions in which Seth described the characteristics of each family, but will try to summarize in a few words the overall function of each one.

(I’ll preface the abbreviated version to follow of Jane’s first slow, or “long sound” session, the 612th for September 6, 1972, with these notes about Seth Two, since this is the ideal place for them.
