On occasion, some personalities may be given an exception to the general rule and take a sabbatical (humorously) from reincarnations, a side trip so to speak, to another layer of reality, and then return. [...]

[...] And such experiments will be helpful in that the various layers of the two personalities, Ruburt’s and my own, will be seen in their operating procedures.

[...] Each dream has meaning to all levels of the personality, and one dream object is a symbol which is translated by all layers of the self, in a mathematics which is more complicated than any dealt with by your physical computers.

When these circumstances no longer exist, then other layers of the self take over the dominant position, and the personality realigns its psychological components. [...]

[...] But while Ruburt did get the correct message, another topmost layer of his subconscious took childish revenge by changing the symbolism of vessel as ship, into vessel as womb, container of life. [...]

These will also be sifted of course through the layers of personal subconscious. [...]

There is an emotional action, Joseph, in this session that is important; for our sessions deal with many layers, and I regret that this one layer is at most times neglected. [...]

If you must think in layers to make this clearer, then this probable self would exist on the other side of the subconscious from the ego.

[...] An emergency therapy will almost always bring immediate results: A week of time given to poetry, simply because this pursuit awakens in Ruburt the strongest aspects of his personality, and frees constructive energy from other layers of his personality.

[...] Only after such a basis will the idea of reincarnation achieve its natural validity, and only when it is understood that the subconscious, certain layers of it, is a link between the present personality and past ones, will the theory of reincarnation be accepted as fact.

11. In Chapter 8 of Adventures, Jane used her Sumari poem, Song of the Pear Tree, to present some examples of such layered, or deeper, meanings. [...]
