(Tonight at session time the small television set on its swivel arm was on, opposite Jane’s left knee. Her broken right leg [just above the knee] leaned against her left leg. [...]

[...] So much so that it was jammed against her broken right leg, and I had difficulty getting the pillow between her knees before turning her. [...] It must put a terrible strain upon the knee joint, I told her. [...]

[...] He wanted to know how the ulcer on Jane’s knee was coming along, and I said very well. [...]

[...] Georgia, Jan, and myself saw the orderlies take Susie on her stretcher into the elevator on their way up to the operating room, for her knee operation. [...]

(I’d told her several times in recent days that I thought her right knee was draining considerably less as a rule, and that several other scabs on her body were showing signs of clearing up. [...]

The knee material (drainage) is drying up from beneath (long pause), and that is also part of the therapeutic process. [...]

[...] I said I supposed the leg was tense so as to serve as a sort of splint for the broken bone near the knee. [...]

[...] Waking, she said she’d dreamed that she was home in the shower, on her hands and knees part of the time, with the water cascading upon her head. [...]

(At 8:25 her right knee “doesn’t hurt at all at this point,” but she repeated that it took a while for the DMSO to really start to work. We’d applied it to her knee at 7:30 PM.)

[...] She wasn’t aware of her right knee, she said, meaning that it wasn’t bothering her; we’d applied the DMSO to it at 7:30 PM, over two hours ago. [...]

[...] Jane said her knees felt very light and considerably looser.

[...] The ankles and feet are beginning to respond to the new requirements, and the knee joints themselves, now, are increasing their lubrication, and gently beginning new motion.

Now, I want hot towels on the knees. [...]

(“I was hoping he’d explain that red spot on top of my knee,” she said, adding her statement of earlier in the afternoon that she hoped it wasn’t another ulcer starting, like the previous one that had finally erupted on her knee. [...]

[...] Jane also said she’d never heard anything about the cultures Patty had taken from the ulcer on her knee a couple of weeks ago, so she guessed that meant things were okay there. [...] I told Jane the swelling had decreased some more on her upper right leg and around the knee, which cheered her also. [...]

[...] This feat enabled her to bring the session closer to her eyes, so that she didn’t have to read with it propped up against her knee—she held the papers where she wanted them. [...]

[...] Lynne also noticed how much better the healing ulcer on the outside of her right knee looked. [...]

(At this point I am more than reasonably sure that Jane began to show certain marked improvements after I initiated the vitamin, peanut-oil, cod-liver-oil daily routine: Her hands first began to show definite reductions in swelling within a very few days, and this was followed by an excellent increase in her knee movement a few days later. [...] I do think I’ve seen similar temporary changes in belief before, without the accompanying changes in the hands and knees. [...]

[...] The extra movement in her knees continues. [...]

That pulley affects the shoulders and arms particularly, and the stature of the upper portion of the body actually caused the bent knees. [...]

(Jane has achieved more motion and movement in her legs—her knees especially—since we began propping her feet up on a box as she lays in bed. [...] At the same time the new motions have resulted in feelings of soreness in her knees, but she recognizes that they’re positive responses. [...]

[...] This afternoon I watched her do some of her exercises on the bed, and saw a noticeable improvement in many of her movements, especially those involving the knees—a most hopeful sign. [...]

[...] On other occasions the areas from the hips downward would stretch considerably, with much new activity in the knee joints and the ankles.

On many of those occasions Ruburt’s back would bend over in the usual fashion as the knees continued their activity, because that was necessary as the adjustments at that time were made. [...]

[...] The knees in the meantime, and the lower portion of the body, would ordinarily have rested. [...]

[...] This morning I noticed a good improvement in the movement of Jane’s knees over what they were capable of, say, a month ago. Her lower legs swing back and forth perhaps four inches, so changes in the knee joints have occurred. [...]

[...] Work on the feet progresses along with the knees, and all of that largely originated from the head/neck area.

(With a wry, quiet look:) I would like Ruburt to soak his knees following the session, and Ruburt wanted me to add that he is most appreciative of your efforts in his behalf. [...]

[...] These areas whatever they are, go through the right side of the body, downward; so that behind my right knee, for example, there is a sense of that mobility or easiness; and particularly in the right toe, though the entire right foot shares. [...]

(Jane is still being bothered considerably in her arms, legs, knees, back, etc., especially at night when she tries to sleep. [...]
