(This afternoon Jane did her exercises on the bed as usual. [...]

(Today Jane had been very upset because her control of time seemed so faulty that she wasn’t getting all the things done through the day that she wanted to accomplish—writing, exercises, seeing an occasional visitor, using the phone—whatever she might have wanted to do on any particular day. [...]

(Before the session Jane showed me the paper she’d written this afternoon, on the direction she felt that Seth would be taking in Mass Reality. [...]

(As in the last session, Jane began speaking in ar unhurried but quite businesslike manner.)

[...] Jane was surprised, since she thought much more time had passed. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance had been good. [...]

1. Jane rather surprised me: I knew she had an interested if generalized awareness of the old theory of the ether (or the luminiferous ether), but I hadn’t realized she was well-enough acquainted with the idea to be able to verbalize it that succinctly for Seth. In several texts I have, the authors wrote about the ether, and Jane may have read those passages. [...]

[...] After presenting some material for both Jane and a friend of ours, Seth ended the session at 11:42 P.M.)

[...] Tells me a big shot at Bantam called liking God of Jane and inquiring about paperback rights, assures me our paperbacks are selling okay. [...]

[...] Jane and I haven’t done anything about the hypnosis suggestions, obviously; we need our recorder repaired. [...] Nor did Jane get her mail answered yesterday, as she had planned to do, nor did she find the time to putter about in the house, either in her writing room, or the studio annex.)

[...] Jane’s delivery had been smooth and easy, seemingly effortless. [...]

(After a very short break Jane gave several pages of material for us. [...]

[...] Jane felt there was much more to come on Frameworks 1 and 2, etc.)

[...] I hadn’t actually asked any questions of Seth; his material after break came through following my joking remark that I was half afraid to ask any, my reaction stemming from his discussion in the last deleted session, regarding Jane’s dislike of details, etc.

(At break tonight I’d explained to Jane that I still thought the 14th session contained some excellent material on Seth’s awareness of “something resembling time” to him—and that it was “still a reality of some kind” to him. [...]

[...] Jane left trance easily. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance was a good one and she couldn’t recall the material. [...]

[...] The “figure of lights” describes an apparition Jane recently experienced, at night, and we are interested in getting Seth’s explanation of it.)

(Jane is recovering extremely well from her tooth extractions. [...]

[...] Lately I’ve been suggesting to Jane that when she finds herself hassling something she reminds herself that she has “a simple, profound faith that whatever needs to be done for an improvement in my health can take place in Framework 2. There are no impediments in Framework 2. Its creative workings there can show themselves in Framework 1, in my improved physical condition. [...]

(This emphasis on that simple profound faith seems to be the key, and using that approach Jane has already achieved some good results. [...]

(Jane’s delivery was leisurely and quiet as the session began.)

[...] Jane’s trance had developed into quite a profound one but, typically, she was soon out of it. [...]

[...] “Boy, I’m telling you I was out that time, I really was,” Jane said. [...]

(This remnant, saved by one of Jane’s students, is all that is left from one of the few class sessions that were either lost or not fully recorded. [...]

(A note by R.F.B.: Jane had formally ended her ESP classes by March 1975, when we moved from our downtown apartments in Elmira, New York, to the hill house at the edge of the city. [...]
