(This afternoon while Jane was going down the front flight of stairs from our apartment, etc.)

[...] During the above presentation, Jane was again aware of channels being available from Seth, about us, the speakers, the book, etc.; she could tune into any of these, etc.

[...] Jane and I read the prayer together after lunch. [...]

[...] Jane had been interrupted once during her delivery.) If their parents are overly indulgent, then the youngsters may actually feel as if they were adjuncts to their parents, or possessions alone. [...]

[...] I read the session so far to Jane, but it wasn’t easy: because of the lost tooth I had trouble enunciating clearly. [...]

(Jane began speaking in trance in a quiet voice with short pauses, her eyes opening at times.)

[...] Jane was dissociated as usual. [...]

[...] Jane said she was fairly well dissociated, and had been for the evening. [...]

[...] Jane’s eyes had been closed most of the time. [...]

[...] Jane said she couldn’t remember much of the material. [...]

[...] Jane reported that she was “pretty far under.”)

(We’d postponed last night’s regularly scheduled session until Thursday because Jane had a dental problem [relining,] to resolve—but then tonight after supper she decided to have a session now “because you don’t know what might happen tomorrow....”)

[...] “Gee, that was pretty weird in some fashion,” Jane said as soon as she was out of trance, “to sense all kinds of things that were really different.” [...]

(Jane said she did know she was taking the very long pauses. [...]

[...] Jane and I spent two hard weeks erasing most of the suggested changes in the manuscript, and it is now headed for the printer for page proofs. [...]

[...] Both Jane and I refused. [...]

(Jane is still faithfully doing her exercises twice a day, and walking more than ever; I am starting a chart. [...]

[...]

(Today I finished the 23rd drawing [out of 40] for Jane’s Dialogues.)

[...] It’s full of evocative statements that were new to us at the time, since the sessions were barely underway: “As to Jane’s feeling about trees having [a certain kind of] consciousness, of course this is the case … The tree is dissociated in one manner. [...]

[...] once I think the title of the—(Jane left this blank)—or the children’s tale appeared in the air in large block letters. [...]

JANE’S NOTES

(This portion of an unnumbered ESP class session was transcribed from incomplete notes made by a member of Jane’s Thursday-night class, beginning at 10:15 PM on December 28, 1967.

(Usually we keep the records of her ESP class in a separate set of three-ring binders, but Jane wanted to insert this one as part of Session 393 in our “regular” sessions: She wanted to show Seth discussing a subject that was emotionally very important to a class member—Audrey Shepherd—whose adopted son had died by drowning last summer.)

[...] Jane had no questions for Seth other than her usual desire that he continue his material on Frameworks 1 and 2. I didn’t either, not having taken the time to focus on any.

(I think that some of the material in tonight’s session is a reflection, or answer, to an article that Jane read this afternoon, in the British Journal for Psychical Research, September 1977. [...]

[...] I told Jane that I was somewhat surprised to hear from him so quickly, and by his evident interest.

[...] Jane discussed my previous “visits” to the first century in Chapter 4 of her Psychic Politics, but [I can add later] she never did deal with this one. [...]

“As I lay down for my usual nap this afternoon, I reminded myself that Jane was to hold her ESP class this evening. [...]

“Assuming that my internal data about those three lives are reasonably correct, it may be, as Jane said recently, that the psyche is so incredibly rich that anything is possible. [...]

[...] I read Jane’s prayer for her, and Seth’s New Year resolutions for me. [...]

(I think tonight’s private material came through, at least in part, because I reminded Jane today of Seth’s references to her in recent private sessions. [...]

[...] Jane continues to improve in her walking—she’s up to 12 times daily, with the aid of her typing table—so we seemed to have retreated from the prospect of her becoming so inactive that she stopped getting on her feet. [...]

[...] Jane stopped speaking when we heard a nurse pushing the medical cart to a stop outside our door to 330. [...] “I didn’t know you could hear vitamin C,” Jane said. [...]

(Jane seemed to be a bit better — not a lot — and I did mail until she said she was ready for a session. [...]

(Jane and I continue to work like mad, typing the final copy for Oversoul Seven number two and for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. [...] Jane had but a few more chapters to go for Seven.

(Lately Jane has been looking over Fabric of The Universe, a book by Denis Postle. [...]

[...] sneezed three times just as Jane took off her glasses and went into trance. [...]

[...] I felt his head pushing effortlessly through the glass, and exclaimed about this to Jane, who sat at her usual place at the breakfast table just in back of me. [...]

[...] Jane was present. [...]

[...] Jane knew vaguely of this but did not know that he now has a torn ligament and must wear some kind of waist brace that I don’t know the technical name for but I always call it a strap. [...]

(Jane continued at 10:25.)

[...] I read it to Jane, who encouraged me to do more. [...]

[...] I finished it at just midnight, then read it to Jane. [...]

(I told Jane this afternoon that we should get more information from Seth about her eyes. [...] I didn’t understand how their appearance could mean that improvements were taking place, even though Jane said they’d felt much better the past two days. [...]

(I should add that Jane’s ankles had shown a marked improvement. [...]

(Jane demonstrated what Seth meant.)

(Before the session Jane said that in the last week she: 1. Is reading much better—“damn well” on Seth’s book. [...] All of these things Jane considered to be her “two-week report,” as discussed in the deleted session for January 7, 1978.

[...] Jane has also been working on her feelings of self approval and disapproval, and credits her efforts with her improvements.)

[...] Jane had feelings of emptiness, that “sicky feeling” in her stomach after the session—the feelings she often gets when the material really hits home.)

(By now Jane’s pace was slower and quieter. [...] Jane was amazed to find that Seth was “still fresh as a daisy” and could easily go on for another hour, when she was so tired.)

[...] Jane’s pace was fast, her voice deeper and louder than usual.
