[...] Coupled with the letter is a treatise written by Jane herself, which contains excellent material on how our perceptions form our reality, from that of electrons on up. [...] Jane told me yesterday, when she found it in an old notebook, that although she wrote it, it “certainly came from Seth.”

[...] I also wanted to do some pendulum work with Jane, and wanted to understand the situation before we started with her. [...]

(Before the session I asked Jane if she had any questions for Seth. [...] Jane’s dreams have been vivid and positive for the most part, concerning physical improvements, etc. [...] Jane had been much more relaxed than usual today.

[...] Jane reports considerable progress here, saying her ears are now clearer “than they’ve been in years.” [...]

[...] Tension in the head and neck floated down like ripples into the body, and for every obvious improvement in this kind of mobility (Jane waved her right arm about vigorously; it is much improved), inner small releases occur in the legs.

[...] But Seth came through with a page on Jane’s recent excursions into three of her probable realities, so the session wound up at 11:42.)

(At about 8 PM Jane said she would like to try having a session this evening —whether private or regular she didn’t know. [...]

[...] Jane was both nervous and impatient at the prospect of her first session since last August 13. [...]

[...] Jane smiled, pleased that she’d had the session. [...]

[...] [See my opening notes for Session 814.] The 812th session was held following an encounter Jane and I had with an unexpected visitor, although these excerpts aren’t personal at all. They fit in well with material in Mass Events, however — indeed, as soon as Seth confirmed Jane’s headings for Part 3 and Chapter 6, we knew that we’d found the place to present this material. [...]

[...] Now Seth left this material to go into a discourse for Jane. [...]

(Jane doesn’t appear to be doing too well — her body is up to something, I told her. [...]

(I didn’t think she’d want to have a session, or feel like it, but Jane said she did. [...]

[...] Jane’s voice was somewhat stronger, her pace a little faster.)

(I asked Jane several times after supper if she wanted to have a session tonight. [...]

[...] But Jane does little if any creative work and her decubiti are much worse. [...]

(The morning after the above session had been held [on September 30, 1974], I asked Jane to write down what she’d told me at about 1:15 A.M. I remembered her description of it at the time, even though I’d been pretty bleary by then, but I wanted her own version for use here. [...]

(Any specific associations that might have brought the Atlantis information to mind were hidden from Jane, though neither of us had been reading or talking about it. [...]

[...] I told Jane that I had been considering the role Nebene might play in our relationship in this life, for the last couple of days. I hadn’t mentioned this to Jane though in any of our recent long talks. [...]

[...] Yet Seth’s Nebene rings true—even including my relationship with Jane way back then.)

[...] Jane was dancing quite spontaneously, incidentally, and to boot somewhat tipsy. [...]

(Jane is still being bothered considerably in her arms, legs, knees, back, etc., especially at night when she tries to sleep. [...]

[...] “Jesus, I ought to go in trance more often,” Jane laughed. [...]

[...] Jane had felt better today. [...] Peggy Gallagher visited at about 6:40, so I got ready and left for the evening without Jane and I reading the prayer.)

(4:34 p.m. Jane’s rather slow delivery had been interrupted three times by staff. [...]

[...] Jane had spoken for Seth at a deliberate pace throughout the delivery, in a rather dry voice. [...] Seth came through with five additional pages of material for Jane and me, however, and the session ended at 11:45 p.m.)

(Late this afternoon Jane received a call from a senior editor of Time magazine. [...]

[...] I would like to suggest an experiment and I am suggesting it to you to see your reaction, like I couldn’t. I was really undecided whether to suggest it to Jane or to you, but you see like I’m kind of at an impasse because, like, there are a lot of words and a lot of concepts and philosophies bandied about, but when you make a claim you know such as that in as specific and nonconfusable terms such as that it would be very simple to demonstrate, and what I was wondering is, either now or at some time when Jane would agree to it, for instance, I brought some playing cards with me, ten cards...”)

([Joel:] “In one of the stories that Jane wrote, the guy went down to the beach with the wind chimes and (words lost) tree and he selected atoms and that somehow absorbed them through himself into another system until there wasn’t any physical world that we know of left at all, and then as I recall at the end he popped through his whole universe and isn’t that somewhat the same kind of thing? [...]

[...] Jane has wanted this especially for work with Sumari. [...]

(Jane spoke very emphatically, gesturing often.) This would be quite apparent were it not for your current belief systems, through which the old are forced to interpret their experience. [...]

[...] Jane, in a very deep and active trance, had been so focused on the material that she’d been unaware of anything else. [...]

[...] Jane also knows Ryerson, much better than I do. [...] I did think it a Framework 2 operation when Bill called us the day after Carroll told us the Ryerson news, but Jane didn’t credit the events like I did, for whatever reasons on her part.

(Before the session I told Jane I’d like Seth to say more about her eyes. [...]

(Jane repeated several times that she had no questions, except to wonder why “it was taking so long to get over the whole thing,” and so forth. [...]

[...] During break Jane and I entered into a discussion that was vehement at times, covering various people, subjects, etc. Jane’s trance had been good. [...]

[...] Today Jane learned that his rent has not been raised, peculiarly enough, as of today, June 5. The lawyer never lived in the apartment, for whatever reasons of his own. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance was, she said, very good. [...]

[...] It stemmed from his material in the session for June 5, when he said that “letting go” could have its frightening aspects for Jane, especially when she relied on such actions to improve her physical abilities like walking. [...] I wondered about whatever beliefs Jane might carry still, that much effort was required in order to accomplish anything worthwhile in Framework 1, even though we might agree that the help we needed must come from Framework 2.

[...] Jane did pick up some bits of information from Seth on Monday night, however, and her version of them is attached.

(Tonight Jane said she thought she’d “done a damn good job” of keeping her mind off her condition, especially while painting and writing—all the time except when “something hurt quite a bit.” [...]

(“I’ll get the beer,” I said, since Jane was doing well and I felt like continuing. As Seth, Jane sat waiting quietly until I came back from the kitchen.)

(To resume: Sue Mullin, now Sue Watkins, one of Jane’s ESP class members, left three questions last night for Seth to answer when possible. [...]

(I now asked Seth: “Can you say a little bit about Sue’s first question, about the astral body of the fetus?” Jane had read Sue’s questions some time earlier, but she didn’t know I was going to ask any of the questions this evening.)
