The “softening” continues. Right ankle and whole side of left foot itch—as do knees, to lesser extent. The group of ligaments on right side of neck seem to be releasing steadily—with improved head motions—though the process isn’t yet completed. Eyes feel easier.
Forgot: during night my stomach muscles right side lower suddenly relaxed & felt fantastic—I didn’t realize they weren’t relaxed before—then left side of my groin itched & all the flesh went soft & relaxed (and sort of flabby).

Now lately the hand has improved because the envy itself was given direct expression through the itch. The itch therefore became the punishment for the envy that it expressed.

I explained my answers to the scratching through the pendulum—that I was “itching” to get back to work on Dreams after several interruptions.

On the whole, since I began checking with the pendulum, the itching has been gradually subsiding.

The itch is similar to that I get if I wear wool clothing—only I wasn’t wearing wool except for a small amount in the stockings I’ve always worn.

Now the itching has returned as I type this session, particularly on the lower legs.

One of the church’s most powerful allies was to that extent its understanding of human psychology, for if you left the church or its system, it knew that you still carried many of its beliefs nevertheless—only now you had something like an itch that you could not scratch.

The itch is still there, but it is harder to scratch.

There is a disease you read about recently, where the skin turns leathery after intense itching — a fascinating development in which the human body tries to form a leathery-like skin that would, if the experiment continued, be flexible enough for, say, sweat pores and normal locomotion, yet tough enough to protect itself in jungle environments from the bites of many “still more dangerous” insects and snakes.3 Many such experiments appear in certain stages as diseases, since the conditions are obviously not normal physical ones.

The man that she married had not told her the truth about his inner self, this itch he had for freedom from worldly concerns.
