(I had 2 pages typed on last night’s session, and gave Jane page 1 so she could refresh herself on my question, the one that Seth had begun discussing, about the intensity of her reactions. [...]

His overconscientiousness as a young person, and his intense concern—overconcern—at times with the literal “truth” of any given situation, is and was largely his reaction to his mother’s habitual, often mischievous lying pattern. [...]

[...] Ruburt’s feelings of panic can then be understood as originating in response to a highly complicated, intense early life, and in concrete situations. [...]

[...] The intensity of the thought or emotion determines the characteristics of the units themselves. [...]

Now the duration and relative stability of such “matter” within other systems varies considerably, with intensity determining the strength of all such manifestations. [...]

6. Much of Seth’s material in this session (and in this paragraph), along with his obviously intense feelings about what he was saying, reminded me of a group of sessions he gave well over a decade ago on the three creative dilemmas of All That Is. [...]

[...] I do not perceive it clearly, but when I focus upon it, then I can perceive your psychic reality and your individual intensities. [...]

What you experience as emotion I experience in a sort of mathematical intensity, and translate. [...]

[...] Existence within any field of reality necessitates intensive focus within that field. [...]

In much the same manner, existence within the physical universe involves the most intense self-hypnotic trance, where attention becomes riveted and focused along certain lines while other realities are of necessity closed out of one’s perception and comprehension for a certain while.

[...] Individual focus cannot be intensely maintained indefinitely. [...]

By adulthood the trance, the intense focus, is most strongly upon him. [...]

[...] A way was needed to teach these personalities to focus long enough, in your terms, intensely enough, within any given reality.

As you know, other portions of the self are intensely focused elsewhere. [...]

According to your energy, power and intensity, you can help change the beliefs of many people, of course.

Intensity not only governs their activity and size, but the relative strength of their magnetic nature. They will draw other such units to them, for example, according to the intensity of the emotional tone of the particular consciousness at any given, quote, “point.” [...]

(I’d say that we can follow Seth’s analogy about the emotional intensities, above, okay, and also that we try not to be blind to values in life that might not be readily apparent in ordinary terms. [...]
