Effects which appear within your system, discernible by your instruments but without form in some, indeed many cases, represent speeds and velocities of activities or acts that actually have their origin from without your system; but because of their different speed and velocity they can travel through your system, and of course making their impression upon it.

Now using your scientific instruments, to some extent, you can probe into physical reality. [...]

According to Seth, then, in its own way the dolphin (and the whale, of course) grasps such phenomena — and without the aid of the very sophisticated written calculations and the physical instruments we humans use.

(Seth dealt with the expanding universe theory in sessions 42-45, saying among other things that our physical universe is not expanding as is currently thought; he had much to say on the distortive data furnished us by our instruments.)
