He creates impediments then as in the other area he creates success. To a lesser extent this applies to your own approach also. Creativity is involved. Let us look then at the third area, for at one time you both also to some extent imagined impediments, changed your approach, and found new results. That area is the financial one, that indeed does now seem to come with an almost magical ease.
There were other issues that have been mentioned, concerning you and the marketplace, but Ruburt’s creativity straddled poor beliefs finally. He stopped looking for financial impediments. He did not worry about money. Just not worrying about it immediately began to give you some financial gain, for in Framework 2 conditions were reversed, and the imagined impediments were not projected into the future. Finally, in Framework 1 those gains began to show: the evidence, in other words. (Amused:) Then, in Framework 1, you had some success to bank upon.
(9:45.) Now let us look at Framework 2. Your ideas come and go effortlessly, without impediments, with a sense of ease that is taken for granted. Your freedom to think is so transparent and natural that you are scarcely aware of it. That freedom comes from Framework 2, as does the great creativity it makes possible. So in certain terms everyone exists in Framework 2. Many people, however, live out their lives, practically speaking, in Framework 1. Ruburt’s physical condition has been most troublesome to you both, for in that area you have stressed impediments and felt a lack of control. Many people, however, experience such difficulty in all areas of their lives, with nothing in their own experience that they can trust to give them evidence for a greater reality or control over their own destinies.
Such methods will work now because of the changes in beliefs he has made—that is, he is more open. In your intimate periods, to some extent at least, impediments become minimized through love and desire. This session should help him, so that he can begin to mentally minimize impediments, and then they will be minimized.
We will have much to say concerning impediments; and impediments, incidentally, are what you call negative suggestions. And yet remember that these impediments are themselves action.

[...] It is most frequently the error of the ego, who upon many occasions attempts to deny its dependency upon this cooperation, that sets up impediments, and sets up countersuggestions that can be somewhat considered cancerous, in that if it had its way the ego would envelop all other aspects of the whole organism, and run riot.
When the ego impedes such expression, then the emotions are translated into other actions, and can turn into impediments. [...]

(I have the simple, profound faith that anything I desire in this life can come to me from Framework 2. There are no impediments in Framework 2. Framework 2 can creatively produce everything I desire to have in Framework 1—my excellent health, painting, and writing, my excellent relationship with Jane, Jane’s own spontaneous and glowing physical flexibility and creativity, the greater and greater sales of all of her books. [...]
There are no impediments in Framework 2, then, to desires that are natural, creative, and that promote life. [...]
Now the books exist, for no impediments were put in the way here, yet again there was no physical evidence. [...]
[...] Lately I’ve been suggesting to Jane that when she finds herself hassling something she reminds herself that she has “a simple, profound faith that whatever needs to be done for an improvement in my health can take place in Framework 2. There are no impediments in Framework 2. Its creative workings there can show themselves in Framework 1, in my improved physical condition. [...]
[...] Both of you do indeed think in terms of impediments that do indeed seem all too real: the responsibility of maintaining good health, the financial question — and on Ruburt’s part, at least, the fear that he would not recover fully enough, but become ill again and require hospital attention once more.
[...] Begin to consider plans — for the plans themselves will help Ruburt’s condition improve, and will begin to diminish those impediments that now loom so large in both of your minds.
