(No sooner had we started than Bill Tolbert showed up to start mowing the grass and using his trimmer, which is even noisier than the mower, but Jane persevered after I shut doors and windows, depending on where Bill was working outside. [...]

(Seth’s dictation on his book tonight was preceded by four pages of personal material that we have deleted. [...]

(Several times this afternoon Jane told me that she’d picked up Seth’s title for the next chapter of his book. [...]

Each person makes his or her own reality, again, but each family member also shares the reality of the others. [...]

[...] In one more or less habitual position a few months ago, Ruburt could walk and move his head in a restricted way. [...]

From behind you energy is now being directed toward Ruburt, toward his whole physical image. [...]

(I called Paul O’Neill at his home to ask him to arrange to take care of Jane’s lower teeth. [...]

Now, you (to Garrett) had your strongest sense of immediacy with our friend over here, and he encountered each of you according to his own light, at the moment, as he met you. [...]

[...] He resumed dictation on Chapter Eight of his own book after a break at 10:10.

(Sometime later during the night, when all was quiet, Jane awoke and received another message from Seth: Seth told me, Jane, I was wrong in saying to Rob “You were some help,” as his attack came on at once after the remark.)

(Before the session Jane and I discussed the reaction of Roger Sullivan, of Lexington, Massachusetts, to the two sessions dealing with his mathematical questions. [...]

[...] (Pause.) Now in some way that you are not ready, or should I say able, to understand as yet, I help Ruburt to perceive clairvoyant information more clearly, in that I help to direct the kinds of alterations that occur within his neurological structure.

[...] And so our onion, with the full vitality within it to grow from the inside out, as all things grow, instead looks at the fine carrot next to him, and such a lovely hue, and examines the carrot in his mind to see if this is God. [...]

[...] You have our Lady of Florence to thank that there are classes here, for Ruburt would not think of them in the beginning, and it was our friend, who you think is too intellectual and not intuitional, who suggested the classes in the first place to Ruburt and opened his mind so that he would follow my suggestions. [...]

For a few days — at least when possible — read Ruburt those portions of yesterday’s session that were devoted to his condition.

You would have an individual who displayed within himself [or herself] all of those great abilities known to the race, fulfilled according to his own unique temper — the artist, mathematician, athlete, the inventor — all the extraordinary qualities of creaturedom; the emotional realities would be used to their capacity, and any of the racial qualities or characteristics of the species would be given their complete freedom.

[...] No one asked Seth to do so and, of course, all this time he was speaking through me in this voice of his. [...]

[...] I’d like him to get some of his goodies (on this book) first.

(Seth devoted the first part of the session to a continuation of his introduction for Jane’s “Cézanne” book — and he has yet to complete that material. [...]

[...] While this is necessary, the whole remainder of the self could not be left to an organizer or caretaker who did not focus his attentions within the depths but sat, as it were, on the front porch of the house, leaving the inner workings unattended. [...]

The choice was made and is always made by the inner ego, who does this appointing according to his knowledge, or its knowledge, of the personality’s qualities. [...]

[...] Such experiences should be followed, however, by reassurances, both on your part, and by self-reminders on Ruburt’s part that his being and experience are indeed couched and held securely in safety and love.

[...] I would continue the session, but though Ruburt feels no difficulty at his end, I am involved at my end. [...]
