Ruburt read it, and is reading it, looking for those feelings that allowed vast improvements to occur at the time—and for once he did not look into the past with his usual self-disapproval. [...]

This was important, because it showed that he could change, and removed physical fears he had, for example about his kidneys—but more important, because you zeroed in on an area in which change was possible.

(Jane checked the outline Seth had given us for his book in the 510th session for January 19, 1970. [...]

A note: Just as he periodically reminds us of his material-to-come on physical aging and out-of-body states (see Note 4, above), Seth mentions that there are more inner senses he’ll tell us about someday — then adds that many of them are so far removed from reality as we understand it that our comprehension will be intellectual at best; in such cases we won’t be able to identify with them emotionally. Seth’s own book will carry his discussions of the dream state still further. [...]

In Ruburt’s recent experience, he found himself inside the chassis of a recording device — signifying that instead of playing a cassette at several different speeds, he was instead, so to speak, playing his own consciousness at different speeds.
