Ruburt’s experience in psychological time today represented a legitimate attempt to dissociate his awareness from physical matter, and was a sign that he is embarking upon another fruitful period of activity.

First of all, a note to Ruburt: tell him not to put off free association in regard to his fear about his body’s performance, but to discuss this as openly as possible with you.

Man, pursuing his own way, chose to step outside of that framework — on a conscious level. [...]

The hunter, freed more or less from animal courtesy, would be forced to emotionally identify with his prey. [...]

(Long pause.) Because you believe that physical self-defense is the only way to counter such a situation then you will say, “If I am attacked by another person, are you telling me that I cannot aggressively counter his obvious intent to destroy me?”
