The sense of work, dedication and commitment has finally been given on Ruburt’s part, and the energy and vitality that has always been available to him can now be practically used to both of your advantages.

I do this for him in many instances. [...]

[...] He may form images of dream cities or people that are of a very joyful nature, translate the emotion itself into whatever symbols are pertinent to him. [...]

As to now, I see him in connection with a railing, of steel or wood. A letter of interest to him that arrived yesterday or today, from a place with high grasses. [...]

There is a woman close to him with whom he has a brotherly relationship, and who helps tend to his wants. [...]

The world of art or literature, or music or learning, was closed to him. [...]

In many past societies, soothsayers, dream experts, poets and artists were the most revered members, for they constantly replenished man’s creative abilities, allowed him to see his position within society and in the natural world with fresh eyes. [...]

[...] I will in no way press for Ruburt to go further than is beneficial for him.

Ruburt’s idea of writing down his daily predictions is an excellent one, and will help him develop his abilities. [...]

[...] It is the most favorable day to begin such a venture, for him.

[...] The dreamer is acquainted intimately, and has at his fingertips so to speak, a memory of his previous dream experiences, and carries within him the many inner individualistic purposes which are behind his dream actions.

[...] (Long pause.) A disagreeable, I believe, family situation in 1953 for him. (Long pause.) A mild astonishment or surprise for him, having to do with something French or foreign. [...]

[...] The window through which he ascended was a symbol necessary to him. The actual physical window was behind his head, you see, so he felt impelled to have a window in front of him, in order to get out of the physical house.

[...] (Smile.) Ruburt’s window image, had the experience continued, would have effectively done this for him. [...]

[...] In general outlines, I saw him as he sat leaning back in an easy chair, his right leg crossed over his left, and holding up an opened newspaper. My view of him was 3/4 from the back. [...]

Perhaps I shall accompany you to your house Saturday, though I refuse to do Ruburt’s cleaning for him.

[...] There is plenty of nutrition there now to help him, since he is assimilating protein so much better than he did before. [...]

[...] “Well, I feel him around,” she said with some surprise at 8:33. [...]

[...] After a session in which he has been in a deep trance, a portion of him becomes leery, however. [...]

[...] And Laurel Lee Davies, the young lady who’s now helping me carry on my publishing activities, at once intuitively picked out from my files the one right photograph of Jane to us for Seth, Dreams … Jane’s father, Delmer Roberts, took the snapshot when she was on vacation with him in Baja, California in 1951. [...]

[...] Last July my agent, Tam Mossman, phoned to ask that I search Jane’s papers for a manuscript he remembers her submitting to him some seventeen years ago, when he had been a young editor just beginning a career with Prentice-Hall. [...]

[...] As Seth told us in a number of ways (and to some extent I’m certainly paraphrasing him here), “Never accept a theory that contradicts your own experience.” [...]

We find, on Ruburt’s part, a much less violent reaction to springtime than the reaction which in the past was more or less characteristic with him.

[...] The attempt is obviously doomed to failure, since the necessary actual perspectives in which the landscape exists are denied to him as working materials. [...]

[...] I plan to write the editor-in-chief at Pocket Books as soon as I find out his name and address, asking him for sales figures; we haven’t had a royalty report from Fell in a year. [...]

[...] In the dream’s meaning, she chased after him, and in that context you felt one portion of yourself making demands upon another portion that resented the emotional involvement, the emotional outbursts that that portion naturally expressed. [...]
