There is a connection here between last night’s episode, and the emotionally charged psychological climate behind the overt behavior itself: the behavior for example was not violent in any way.

Nevertheless there is a lag, now nearly over here, however, before the organism recoups its losses and then begins to rebuild and gain weight. [...]

I’m certainly not writing here about the idea of redemption in the ordinary religious sense, although I think it’s perfectly possible that in some other frameworks, larger than our taken-for-granted physical and psychological one, the idea of redemption—of understanding and embracing—may be involved in a “religious” sense, as part of an intuitive grasp of All That Is.

There’s so much I could discuss here that the lack of time and space is very frustrating. [...]

[...] She appeared to be the observer here, yet felt a quick sense of panic, and when this appeared the experience ended. [...]

[...] Certain tensions are maintained here, and all communications, incidentally, are the results of tensions.

We have not touched in any degree concerning further possibilities here, but as there is no real or actual boundary between any of these areas of the whole self, so there are no actual, definite boundaries between any given whole self and another, nor between any given entity and another.

I do not want to upset you, but if the Dutch may cut a bit here and there, you might find that any French or Spanish translation might add a flourish here or there. [...]

[...] I don’t think Jane yet grasps the implications here.

In the dream they both stood for completely different attitudes of your own, and here you see them objectified in your separate parents—for you do indeed identify those different tendencies with your parents to a strong extent. [...]

[...] I think that here Seth referred to Jane’s and my upset over the small amount of her royalty check this fall, and the way Prentice-Hall has taken to withholding certain percentages of profits against returns.)

You see, now, more clearly than you have, that your problems are the results of unfortunate personal reactions and interactions, that two are involved here rather than one.

[...] I am not saying here that you should not set aside specific hours for yourself. [...]

Obviously there are many ramifications here, and in your society your own belief systems must also be taken into consideration. [...]

[...] I just wish I could present those sessions here, for in them Seth gave us much valuable information—not only about ourselves [including Jane’s somewhat impaired physical condition, her “stiffness”], but about the myriad interchanges occurring constantly between our inner and outer realities, or Frameworks 1 and 2, as he calls them. This may hardly be original thinking here, but these proliferations of consciousness imply some pretty fantastic abilities on the part of we humans—for such developments show that even though we live as small creatures within the incredible richness of an overall consciousness, or All That Is, still our actions can result in that great consciousness exploring new areas of itself. [...]

[...] [Your] world did not just come together, mindless atoms forming here and there, elements coalescing from brainless gases—nor was the world, again, created by some distant objectified God who created it part by part as in some cosmic assembly line. [...]

[...] We must be very careful here, for delusions of divinity come sometimes too easily, but in a basic sense you all carry within yourselves the undeniable mark of All That Is—and an inbuilt capacity—capacity—to glimpse in your own terms undeniable evidence of your own greater existence. [...]

3. I think that Seth’s insight here—regarding “the far more dependable behavior of the other species”—is excellent indeed. [...] (As an example, I doubt if this one will be referred to in the index for Dreams.) But I also think that intuitively we know the truth Seth so briefly expressed here, and that it never has been or ever will be really lost.

[...] Also, I use time terms, since you are so used yourselves to that kind of categorizing, so here we will certainly run into our first seeming contradiction (see the last session) — when I say that in the higher order of events all universes, including your own, have their original creations occurring now, with all of their pasts and futures built in, and with all of their scales of time winding ever outward, and all of their appearances of space, galaxies and nebulae, and all of their seeming changes, being instantly and originally created in what you think of as this moment.

I am not here specifically blaming Christianity, for far before its emergence, your ideas (underlined) and beliefs about good and evil [were] far more important in all matters regarding the species than any simple questions of genetic variances, natural selection, or environmental influence. [...]

One of the poems Jane wrote for me a year ago, when I became 60 years old (in June 1979), fits in well here also. [...]

1. Seth’s material on schizophrenia is an extension of his discussion on Monday evening, which is why this session is given here.
