[...] I dreamed that I bought a new red, sporty-looking sedan car at a dealer’s. He wasn’t a very nice or pleasant man, younger than me, who swore a lot. [...] The obnoxious dealer told me that he’d sold the car to the family, and had set aside an identical green car for me.

(I got really mad at him, and told him off in no uncertain terms, threatening, I believe, legal action if I didn’t get that car back that he’d promised me. [...]

[...] Only he saw it before he got there, and wondered if he could get his people there. [...]

(At the funeral home a friend had told me he didn’t know how Jane and I stood it after all this time. I said you either rose to the occasion or you didn’t. He agreed, and offered to help us in any way he could, which I told him I appreciated very much. [...]

Individual reactions follow this innate knowledge, for while man fears the unleashed power of nature and tries to protect himself from it, he revels in it and identifies with it at the same time. (Pause.) The more “civilized” man becomes, the more his social structures and practices separate him from intimate relationship with nature — and the more natural catastrophes there will be, because underneath he senses his great need for identification with nature; he will himself conjure it into earthquakes, tornadoes, and floods, so that he can once again feel not only their energy but his own.

(Pause.) As nothing else can, a great encounter with the full energy of the elements puts man face to face with the incredible potency from which he springs.

[...] Such a crisis automatically forces each person to examine values, to make instant choices that will provide him with recognitions to which he had been blind earlier.

[...] Before this he was transfixed in the present. [...] Now it stretched brightly behind him and also stretched out ahead — a road on which he always saw his own changing image.

[...] He sat up, astonished. [...]

[...] He has such a range of receptivity that it is impossible for him to construct all of his ideas physically. [...]

He learned continuity. [...]

[...] As she sat down she said, “He may have said good night, but he isn’t gone yet. [...]

[...] So he, as a joke on me, would tell you nothing at all, and answer hardly any of your questions.

[...] Ruburt may try a half-hour psychological time experiment tomorrow and Wednesday, if he chooses, and then we will see. [...]

[...] I feel that he’s ready —all he has to do is get me in shape for the session....” [...]

Now these are powerful and “magical” statements, and as Ruburt made them mentally he could psychologically feel his agreement with any given one, and also the degree with which in the past he had not wholeheartedly accepted those abilities, but had set up certain restrictions about them—so a new flash in communication was set up, and new recognition came into his conscious mind. [...]

[...] He is a good one to answer them for you. And he has answers for them. [...]

He seems like a very nice gentleman to me. [...]

I use Ruburt’s body with his permission because he is a friend of mine. [...]

[...] He has been doing his own kind of energy exercises, involving the particular “sore” (the ulcer on her coccyx; it’s slowly closing), but I suggest that he does one of those exercises faithfully every day, and that both of you simply see the area healed. [...]

[...] Since you both have such mental agility and a history in this life of health and vitality, that history can be used by Ruburt, if he recalls himself running up and down the steps of the art gallery, for example. [...]

[...] I told her that Seth didn’t go into our questions about his material in yesterday’s session, concerning changing the past from the present, nor did he comment on Carol Steiner’s Ph.D. thesis on the Seth material. [...]

(Seth also correctly picked out the seat of Art Finnegan, to whom he referred in the 329th session. [...] He is on the last reincarnation within this system.”)

[...] Although he states that “Others have heard it,” my interpretation is that this reference is to Ellen Tabb and Adrian. [...]

[...] He’s either in me or to the side,” she said, “and boy he’s having a ball tonight!”)

(One circumstance that kept her in this state came to my attention when Jane casually mentioned, as she sat in her rocker: “Seth’s still here—he’s over to my right now,” and she reached out to her side with her arm. [...]

[...] You have seen our dweller in the hall here (Theodore) use his abilities—and he does not need to look for wonders because he is experiencing reality. [...]

Now you are all getting it this evening, but it is long due—and it is for this reason that our friend Ruburt did not welcome me with open arms at your last class, for he knew what I was up to. [...]

[...] I have not the heart to light into you, because you are also giving him (Theodore) strength and you represent a foundation of which he is sure. [...]

Christ, as he is known historically, psychically represented man’s probabilities. His theories and teachings could be interpreted in many ways; they stood for kernels that man could sow as he wished. [...]

[...] Man would believe he did indeed have dominion over the earth as a separate species, for God the Father had given it to him.

4. In Volume 1, see the 687th session at 10:45, when Seth said: “Biologically the man knows he has come from the earth. Some of his cells have been the cells of animals, and the animal knows he will look out through a man’s eyes.” [...]

[...] A completely different kind of focus was presented, in which the ancestors were understood to contribute to the “new” experience of the living; one in which the physically focused consciousness clearly saw itself as perceiving the world for itself, but also for all of those who had gone before — (gradually louder for emphasis:) while realizing that in those terms he or she would contribute as well as the generations past.

3. Seth packed a lot of information into the short 689th session for Volume 1. He discussed the innumerable experiments of consciousness with animal-man and man-animal forms; the great communication between man and animal in ancient times, and the deep rapport of both with their natural heritage; psychic and biological blueprints and cellular precognition; the growth of man’s ego consciousness; the beginnings of our god concepts and mythology; and more.

7. Seth evidently referred to the material he gave on the conscious attributes of information for Chapter 3 of Personal Reality. Note 1 for Session 697, in Volume 1, contains quotations from those comments, as well as a few other references.
