Events seem to happen to you. Often it seems that you have no more control over the drama of your own life than you have over the outcome of a television program. Sometimes, however, your own dreams or inspirations startle you by giving you information that is usually not available in the recognized order of events. It becomes very difficult to explain such occurrences in the light of the plots and scenes provided by your usual mental programming. You are so conditioned that even when you sleep you try to monitor your experiences, and to interpret dream events according to the habitual frequency that you have learned to accept as the only criterion of reality. Quite literally, however, when you are dreaming you are tuning in to different frequencies and biologically your body responds to those on many levels.

Using an analogy again, the brain is quite capable of operating on innumerable “frequencies,” each presenting its own picture of reality to the individual, each playing upon the physical senses in a certain manner, organizing available data in its own specialized way, and each dealing somewhat differently with the body itself and with the contents of the mind.

Generally speaking, you use one particular frequency in waking life. Therefore it seems there is no other reality than the one you recognize — and no greater data available than those with which you are normally familiar.

[...] Presumably, however, when speaking for Seth, Jane would show definite changes in all frequency areas in both hemispheres, with the theta and delta ranges altered the most. [...]

2. Physicists assign a frequency, or vibration in periodic motion, to all objects in our universe — galaxies, stars, planets, subatomic wave/particles, and so forth. Form is thought to be an expression of frequency. [...] Seth first mentioned frequencies soon after these sessions began.

[...] So-called objective approaches will only work at all when you are dealing with so-called objective effects — and your physicists are learning that even in that framework many “facts” are facts only within certain frequencies,² or under certain conditions. [...]

And yet, very rarely do I hear Jane speak of vibrations (the “vibes,” in popular jargon) or frequencies.

This is difficult to explain, but they could mentally pitch a thought along certain frequencies — a highly distinguished art — and then translate the thought at a given destination in any of a number of ways, into form or color, for example, or even into a certain type of image. Their language was extremely discriminating in ways that you could not understand, simply because gradations in pitch, frequency, and spacing were so precise and complicated.

The pulsating that I mentioned earlier as extension and contraction involves the use of certain frequencies inherent in the tissue capsule, and to some small degree represents or is a limited aspect of the ability of the inner self to change frequencies and pulsations in an even freer, less limited manner. The process of clearing the body out began when Ruburt started his Day 1, but with the great frequency of negative hospital suggestions, and general false beliefs connected with fever, the beneficial aspects indeed had to be taken on faith as largely (underlined) they were (louder).
