Events seem to happen to you. Often it seems that you have no more control over the drama of your own life than you have over the outcome of a television program. Sometimes, however, your own dreams or inspirations startle you by giving you information that is usually not available in the recognized order of events. It becomes very difficult to explain such occurrences in the light of the plots and scenes provided by your usual mental programming. You are so conditioned that even when you sleep you try to monitor your experiences, and to interpret dream events according to the habitual frequency that you have learned to accept as the only criterion of reality. Quite literally, however, when you are dreaming you are tuning in to different frequencies and biologically your body responds to those on many levels.
Using an analogy again, the brain is quite capable of operating on innumerable “frequencies,” each presenting its own picture of reality to the individual, each playing upon the physical senses in a certain manner, organizing available data in its own specialized way, and each dealing somewhat differently with the body itself and with the contents of the mind.
Generally speaking, you use one particular frequency in waking life. Therefore it seems there is no other reality than the one you recognize — and no greater data available than those with which you are normally familiar.
In such dreams you tune in to other frequencies that are, indeed, closer to your biological integrity, but there is no reason why you cannot do so in the waking state. When such seeming miracles occur, it is because you have transcended your usual official beliefs about your body and its health, and disease, and so allowed nature to take its course. Often in the dream state you become truly awake, and grab ahold of your spirithood and creaturehood with both hands, so to speak, understanding that each has a far greater reality then you have been led to suppose.
[...] Presumably, however, when speaking for Seth, Jane would show definite changes in all frequency areas in both hemispheres, with the theta and delta ranges altered the most. [...]
[...] In cases usually called schizophrenic, the beta acceleration is not supported by the stabilizing attributes of the other known frequencies.
[...] Here, in a highly creative, disciplined, and yet spontaneous performance, a situation is set up in which knowledge is obtained from the known frequencies, combined so that consciousness can use itself more fully, reaching into many areas closed to one range of consciousness alone. [...]
He is combining and alternating frequencies so that he literally brings forth a different creature of consciousness — one that in your terms is not alive, yet one whose very reality straddles the life that you know. [...]
2. Physicists assign a frequency, or vibration in periodic motion, to all objects in our universe — galaxies, stars, planets, subatomic wave/particles, and so forth. Form is thought to be an expression of frequency. [...] Seth first mentioned frequencies soon after these sessions began.
[...] So-called objective approaches will only work at all when you are dealing with so-called objective effects — and your physicists are learning that even in that framework many “facts” are facts only within certain frequencies,2 or under certain conditions. [...]
And yet, very rarely do I hear Jane speak of vibrations (the “vibes,” in popular jargon) or frequencies.
[...] I wanted however to mention the possibility of such occurrences, since such projections have and do happen with some frequency.
[...] Habitually individuals establish various overall frequencies that they are able to handle, for various reasons that I believe I explained to you somewhat earlier.
An individual will therefore feel more at home operating within certain frequencies, and he will feel less at home with others. [...]
[...] These include, to begin with, the original intensity of the thought as A possesses it, A’s ability to duplicate the thought as far as possible, the relative stability of the electrical thought unit as it is formed by A, the familiarity or unfamiliarity of the range of frequencies that compose the new thought to any intended receiver.
[...] Here each metropolis would represent a conglomeration of consciousnesses operating within an overall general frequency of clearest focus, a high point of psychic communication and exquisite focus in the given kind of reality. Unless you are tuned in to those particular frequencies, however, you could not pick up that reality. [...]
[...] When you begin to travel away from that home station, you become more aware of the other frequencies4 that are buried within it. You move through other frequencies, but to do this you must alter your own consciousness.*
[...] When you are sleeping, then, your consciousness often ventures into other realities, usually in a wandering fashion without tuning itself in to any precise frequencies. [...]
[...] The “you” that you recognize is but one signal on one such station, tuned in to a certain frequency, experiencing that station’s overall reality from your own viewpoint — one that is unique and like no other, and yet contributing to the whole life of the station.
Dream bodies became physical, and through the use of the senses tuned to physical frequencies—frequencies of such power and allure that they would reach all creatures of every kind, from microbe to elephant, holding them together in a cohesive web of space-and-time alignment.
[...] There is indeed a tuning into, a reception of frequencies. [...] It is difficult for Ruburt to maintain steadily that particular reception of frequency, and within certain limits there is sometimes a slipping in and out, so that now and then Ruburt’s personal subconscious is allowed to intrude. [...]
[...] He added more material on such frequencies along with the data on the inner senses, by the 50th session; then elaborated further in the material on the electrical universe, given in the sessions from 122 on. [...]
[...] For the vibrations and frequencies which are received in order to make our communications possible, are also most beneficial in themselves to the human and psychic system.
[...] As physical objects are symbols, existing as realities within certain frequencies, so there are other realities, of course, at different frequencies; but here objects are not the main symbols.
[...] This was again connected with motion, as though the physical frequency was also changed, and Jane’s body was rushing past me, even while staying in the same place.
(9:29.) This is difficult to explain, but they could mentally pitch a thought along certain frequencies — a highly distinguished art — and then translate the thought at a given destination in any of a number of ways, into form or color, for example, or even into a certain type of image. Their language was extremely discriminating in ways that you could not understand, simply because gradations in pitch, frequency, and spacing were so precise and complicated.
The pulsating that I mentioned earlier as extension and contraction involves the use of certain frequencies inherent in the tissue capsule, and to some small degree represents or is a limited aspect of the ability of the inner self to change frequencies and pulsations in an even freer, less limited manner. [...]
[...] The “transportation” (in quotes) of the inner senses consists mainly of what you might call a changing of frequencies or vibrations or pulsations, a transformation of vitality-form from one particular pattern or aspect to another.
There is hardly any danger of that possibility, however, since it would be nearly impossible to perform such a task even with the most developed of technologies — and indeed, the very attempt to do so might well immediately trigger a response on the part of the whole genetic system, so that new divergences appeared with even greater frequency, as compensation.
The process of clearing the body out began when Ruburt started his Day 1, but with the great frequency of negative hospital suggestions, and general false beliefs connected with fever, the beneficial aspects indeed had to be taken on faith as largely (underlined) they were (louder).
[...] On the other hand, an out-of-body consciousness may also enter other physically attuned realities: those operating “at different frequencies than your own.” [...]
[...] This is accomplished through what you might call a changing of frequencies or vibrations … In some ways, your dream world gives you a closer experience with basic inner reality than does your waking world, where the inner senses are so shielded from your awareness.”
