There is a compassion, a jovial yet understanding one, that I can feel for such activities that is more difficult for you to experience, but in many cases the drama—the gods or devils who seem (underlined) to speak through the board, the sense of importance felt by the participators, the heightened emotional activity—all of these provide often, rich elements of experience otherwise lacking from a mundane daily existence.

[...] Psychically, developments appear in class. [...] Therefore, Ruburt’s new class energy is the first development that shows. [...]

It represented also the searching, creatively dissatisfied portion of you, looking for further understanding and knowledge. [...]

(10:00.) It goes without saying that on much deeper levels there is no reluctance on Ruburt’s part, or the abilities would not have developed in this fashion. [...]

The psychic experiences are then used as poetic subjects, and this cycle of creativity is always enriched as the whole personality continually develops itself and grows. [...] The personality could not approach its own promise until the poetic nature led to the psychic development. [...]

It provides for the deepest spontaneous expression of the subconscious, gives the ego a directive and sense of purpose, and develops the overall abilities of the personality, which in the past were completely denied, for lack of training and out of fear. [...]

To some extent this was indeed a spiteful reaction, but do not forget it had been a good protector in the past, developed during Ruburt’s years with his mother into a strong armor. [...]

[...] You must completely accept the fact that you do indeed dwell in a safe universe—one in which you are free to develop, say, your painting abilities to the fullest, without fearing that that development will dull the weapon that brings you money.

You have within your grasp the understanding to clear all these issues, but you have come to a point in your life where you cannot equivocate. [...]

In Section 4, then, Seth has more to say about CU and EE units, cellular consciousness, ancient man, evolution, space travel, and other seemingly disparate subjects as he continues to develop his thesis that “biologically the species is equipped to deal with different sequences of time while still manipulating within one particular time scheme.” [...]

Your artistic abilities, because of their power, demand other abilities for their fulfillment, and you are now just becoming free enough to develop these other abilities. [...]

[...] The journeys lead to an understanding of your own uniqueness and, therefore, to an understanding, not of relative unimportance in the universe, but to your absolute importance to it, and the knowledge that your each act ultimately affects the movement of the most minute molecule and the action of the most distant star that you can perceive. [...] All fragments have within them the potentialities to grow to whatever height of development they choose. [...]

[...] You are working toward certain kinds of development that can happen, in your terms and in your terms only, only in your space and in your time. [...]

[...] And so your own development follows your inner dictates, both when you are alone, and when you are in class. [...]

But without the challenge and the conflict the personality would have had little chance to develop its potential, particularly in terms of understanding. [...]

The crisis would have developed on the condition that Ruburt tried to use and develop his spontaneous and intuitive abilities on an adult basis. [...]

Now Joseph (pause), neither of you should overlook the fact that in one way or another, and regardless of the psychic development, such a crisis point (Jane’s symptoms) would have appeared in Ruburt’s life as a result of personal characteristics, present-life background, and past-life characteristics.

It would have been a mistake of the most tragic order, however, to shy away from the full development of abilities. [...]

If there is an honest struggle, an honest effort toward peace and brotherhood, then even if war erupts on a practical level then the psychic development is healthier than if no effort toward peace is made, or if ideals are merely mouthed.

Now this is a sort of psychological understanding and intuitional insight that is beyond words.
